Hey guys...basically the title states the question.

Do social skill need to always be worked...try to open people for the sake of it? Basically ....the opening of random people/(girls included) should always be practiced/honed or else it will deteriorate?

Or is it something you have practiced at a time, found out you can hold a good conversation when you "choose" to for certain people....not just random shoot the shit convo's to get the "practice" in?

I just feel less genuine and that i'm wasting both our times for a shoot the shit convo that won't last more than it takes to ring up your bill. Any thoughts?

I think it's a lot like riding a bike. Once you LEARN the skills (not just inherantly have them like a natural that gets into a long term relationship and ends up with no game after), then you're gonna have them always in you. Just like riding a bike though, you may take a break for a while, you don't forget, you can still hop on and ride, but you won't be at the same level and you need to do some practice to get back up there. I haven't really riden a bike for about 5 years, so it'll probably take me a while before I'm back up to riding with no hands, holding grocery bags, up a hill, but if I put in the effort, it may only take a few weeks (I'm finally getting my bike shipped out to me ).
