I was thinking about the movie Boiler Room today and it got me to thinking....the attitudes of those brokers when they are selling the stock seem similar to that of PUA's. Their motto is ABC--"Always Be Closing." Just thought you guys have seen it and would be able to draw more out of it and possibly some other well-known movies that can relate to PUA's.

Also in the movie they talk about a "rebutle book" that has a rebutle for every excuse. Instead of letters A-B-C-D etc...the tabs read "Let me check with my wife" or "I don't have the money." Could a book like this ever exist in the PUA world?

Just some thoughts to ponder....

I own that movie and I love it! A-B-C is right. They also said, "Don't pitch the bitch..." LOL, I guess that won't apply here though. I watched that movie all the time when I was a car sales manager.

Any book on sales will give you plenty of stuff. Try ultimate guide to comebacks, The Guide is 49 pages long (over 15,000 words) and it includes 152 intelligent and effective Comebacks and Rebuttals, 17 Closing Power Statements, 38 selling questions that isolate the objection, 6 budget data-mining questions, and 4 free Bonus Sections that are a huge value in their own right.
They say if you use these proven sales techniques and sales scripts to increase your confidence, improve your sales calls, and fatten up your commission checks which is no different from PUA. Just about all sales books are directed to closing the sale or sealing the deal and dealing with the objections.

Try the movie Wall St - Michael douglas, Hitch - , Roadhouse - patrick swaze, american psycho - christian bale, A Good year - russel crow and my personal favorite The Thomas Crown Affair - Pierce Brosnan. All really good AMOG movies and I am sure there are so many more.

Bond - James Bond classic alpha male and the movie Get Carter with Stallone OMG he is a great alpha male in this move. These are great movies that show the alpha in his element.

Talking of alpha... Tom Cruise pimping scientology. It might be utter bullshit but the man is ultra alpha, watching how he holds himself is good education...

"ABC--"Always Be Closing."

I've lived by this movie since I saw it 4.5 years ago and work in phone sales as well (I haven't had a girlfriend in 4.5 years : Pure coincidence ;-)

And yes, any book or movie involving sales is great to watch for this aspect of your life because essentially with pick up, you are selling yourself...

The one thing I've really learned from this film and lifestyle is that you always have to be "on." There isn't time to bullshit or deviate to other methods that may not give you proven results. You must be "on" at all times and the most successful salesmen and PUA's I've known all subscribe to the same mentality.

ALWAYS be closing, tellings not selling....
