I've always been great at just walking right up to people and striking up a conversation. Using some techniques I can now disarm a male or two in the group unless hes the AMOG which is a little more difficult. But here's my dilemma, I open, i make sure to touch early, and I neg. I feel like I get the correct response when I neg (the girl usually finds one of her friends thats around and says, "OMG this guy just told me i look like a mouse!" or something to that extent. And I don't know how to react. I have this bad habit of almost apologizing on the spot because both girls are looking at me like wtf did this dude say (but i think its good cuz they are shit testing me), but what do i do? Do I engage the friend? Do i play it off? If so, how? or do i run a routine like cube or something of the likes at this time?

segways are tough. usually i find that just changing the subject and going to another routine while they're perplexed keeps them off balance, trying to catch up and re-validate themselves to you. it also shows that you actually have things to talk about, rather than succumbing to that awkward silence while they're looking at you with that "what did he say?" look. engaging the friend would be a good idea too. always if your target is in a group you want to engage them. if the friends are cool with you then she's cool with you.
