I am looking for some ideas on things that people have always wanted to do but never did because you were either too nervous/lazy/tight on time/tight on money/didn't know anyone interested, etc.

In my attempt to build social value and stories for myself, I want to start organizing events for my friends. these are events that everyone wants to do already, but no one ends up taking the time to plan them and put them into motion. I know in the past I was very much in this line of thinking. For instance, I've always wanted to go skydiving, but I've never done it because I assume that it would take quite a bit of time to plan for.

However, skydiving is actually pretty cheap--only a couple hundred bucks, and come on--what's a couple hundred bucks for an experience of a lifetime?

Also, these don't have to be things you've never done before, but also things you love, but rarely do because they take some time to set up.

Things I've thought of thus far--

- Skydiving
- Scuba diving
- Mountain climbing
- Some various road trips I have in mind
- Paintballing

I've always wanted to learn guitar and piano/keyboard but just never had time as well as learning a new hobby such as wood carving. Just getting a piece of wood and turning into whatever you want. Havent had time so far but i will one day.

Wow, great idea. Here's my list. To be honest, I've done most of the things I want. You're only young once. A lot of mine probably won't help you, but i'm pretty much just copying my "TODO" list here...


Things I've done and recommend:
-Paintball -- greatest sport ever, but expensive as hell
-Rock Climbing -- fun, but hard to get to good climbing spots
-SkyDiving -- I'm certified, so it's like 20 bucks for me to go. Best experience ever (Bungee jumping and base jumping can be included in the above, however I've never done either...)
-Felony charges -- Only do this if you're under 18, and sure you won't be tried as an adult.....yeah....



Things I'm planning to do:
-Amsterdam/Vegas -- Everyone's gotta do both of these at least once...
-MMA -- need I say more....
-Threesome -- heh....
-Study Abroad in Copenhagen -- dutch chicks are HOT
-Build a car -- always wanted to do this. Hopefully an Ultima GTR
-Lip Piercing -- haven't been drunk enough early enough yet...
-Free Diving -- those guys are bad ass...


I know there's more, but I'm tired and need to get some sleep.

I've been thinking a very similar thing lately, here's my list:

Skydiving
Paintballing
Flying Lessons
Visit Brazil (Rio, Amazon and Salvador)
Visit Vegas
Do one of those track days where you drive ferraris, lambourghinis, porsches etc.

good thread. ive been thinking like this as well. ive come up with

-sky diving
-get a junk car and fix it up
-mma (which is alread under way. im competing as soon as i turn 18. my trainer and his managment have a fight set up for a couple days after my birthday)
-visit Italy (which im doing this summer)
-rock climbing
-scuba diving

Most of mine aren't getting accomplished because I have little money, but here is the list...

-Sky dive
-Scuba dive
-Learn to play the drums
-Tour Europe
-Vacation in the Bahamas/surrounding areas
-Go on a cruise

Paintball is an expensive sport to get involved in, which is why I stopped playing. But to go play a few games, its pretty cheap. You may not get the best markers, but it still gets the adrenalin going.
