Example:

HB: what do you do for a living?
PUA: I'm a stripper. (dead serious)
HB: WOW, what exactly do you do? (HOT)
PUA: Seriously?! You don't know what a stripper does?
HB: Well, I know but is it like.... (very HOT)
(convince her, etc)

After a while, If she brings it up again...

HB: So tell me how much do you earn from stripping? (actually you can take this one and say that the girls love you and they tip you well but for the sake of the example....) (HOT)
PUA: Girl, I'm not a stripper...
(she loses all of her excitement but here is the trick) (COLD)
PUA: ...I can't believe you, you've thought that you've been flirting with a stripper the whole night, do you have such a low self-esteem?
(a killer!!!) (ICE COLD)
Then you can also tease her at this point, e.g. "your parents must be SOOO proud of you!" or "well, you gotta pay me anyways to see the beauty hiding behind these clothes" (HOT)

I've been using such conversational traps for years and I was wondering whether there are any articles related to this.

She is very interested in your occupation for obvious reasons, which also means she finds you interesting, which is good. You don't want to qualify yourself too much, unless you want to build more comfort. Get her to qualify and invest and reward that by escalating.
