Anyone else have this problem?

I want to go with the "who cares if you get rejected, you'll never see her again" theory, but living in a university town I feel like if I get rejected or whatever that I'll look like a fool to people I know, or her down the line, if that makes any sense...

Another problem is I feel conscious at the clubs/bars cause I run into a lot of people I know, and I'm caught up with self-image and being respected by others...lol

any thoughts?
