Hey Guys,

So I've been talking to this girl for a while now, playing the game to a tee. Cat-string theorgy, freeze outs, negs, non-threatening, non-needy, Kino, Question Game - Big time comfort. Due to schedule-mishaps, we kept talking but rarely saw each other so I never had a chance to isolate and kiss her.

The day before Valentine's Day, I saw her at lunch and asked her:
"So where's my valentine's day present?"
She replied " Valentine's day is for lovers."
Me: "And what are we?"
Her:"We're friends."
We were with other people so i said "I've got enough friends, missy."
Then she left and I met up w/ her in an empty part of the hallway and said "Hey, wait up. Look, I have feelings for you and i wanna know if those feelings are reciprocated."
She said "I'm in a really tricky place with my exboyfriend and i'm not a position to date anyone right now. You're a really cool guy and I don't want to lead you on."

Me: "Look I wasn't lying, I don't need anymore friends, I've got all the friends I need in the world. I want a girlfriend."

We locked eyes for a second, I then turned around and walked away.

I didn't speak to her for a week.

Today, she texted me with something related to a running joke we had going.

I didn't respond.

Recieved another text 1hr later - "Just trying to break the ice..."

Responded 30 min later with "I'm in class right now. Let's talk about this later."

id like to see some answers for this too.

I fear i'm in the same position. i played the game perfectly and had her talking to me nearly every night. and suddenly, this old fling of hers kinda decides to try things over with her.

she says he just a friend but she thinks they might be more than friends. so now when i asked her to hang out, she says he'd get mad. i froze her out for the 3 days and she started texting me again but idk.

any ideas?

Lol, the fact you freezed her out and then she came crawling back is a sign that she does want to be part of your life somehow

i havent confronted her about it like this PM88ENG did. i implied something similar to it. when she was contradicting herself texting me saying she didnt know if they were just friends or not. i said, "well u let me know when u figure that one out."

her first response was what's that supposed to mean?
me - "let me know when u figure out if u2 r just frineds or not"
her - "ok?" "r u angry?"
me "no"
5 hours later she texts me again with small talk.

idk, i was playing the game perfectly and now it seems like im being put on the backburner. the texts have slowed down a lil since this other guy. what do u think the next step in my game is? she flaked out on me 2 times now. if she flakes on me again, should i call her on it?

Signs of impending one-itis! It's hard for all of us, but I can guarantee you that the less you emotionally invest yourself in these girls, the more they'll come crawling back on your terms. Plus, there's others out there.
I've had plenty of girls tell me they want to just be friends. I fell for one who told me that about a year ago. Something clicked in my head, and I told myself, "You know what, I'm not gonna worry about it. She's not the only one." Two weeks of no correspondence later, she's practically begged me to come over to her place, which I shouldn't have done.
Anyway, girls like these aren't usually well-grounded. Go for others who are more stable.
