I have slacked at work and my personal life is a mess. I continually snap at people, which I didn't even realize until I did it to my mother a few times and she told me she couldn't even talk to me anymore because she was afraid I would go off on her. This made me realize I was doing it to not just her but other people. I have met a few other girls and had some dates but my mind is always on this one girl. I have recently stopped drinking as it was only adding to the problems and not helping them. I have also started working out again, but all of this hasn't helped me find the person I was before this girl. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Some things that can help you: Think of things you did not like about your ex. Think about times when you were NOT happy with her. These things reinforce the reality that while perhaps you loved this chick, she is a flawed person too, and it's highly likely that eventually you will find someone else that you feel this way about.
You won't find them today, or tomorrow, but someday you will. Think about how shitty you will come across to the next one that excites you like this if you're still all hung up on your ex.
There's tons of other posts on this website on how to accomplish what you need to. Start searching and getting yourself right.
