Hey all,

I am quite a newbie but already have a tip.

I have taken to reading womens weekly magazines. They are on the whole, lame as hell but there are nuggets of gold to be filtered through the crap.

Usually there is a story about how a couple got together/triumphed in the face of adversity/found love after being abducted by ufo's etc etc. Probably a lot of these stories are made up hokum, but the point is that they are generally written by women, for women. This means that they have an idialistic take on things. i.e, revealing womens fantasies on how they wish their love life was etc.
I have found this useful as a fresh face, just to give me confidence that sometimes women want, nay expect to be approached and for this kind of story to unfold in their own life.
Basically, i am suggesting reading these things, taking note of the openers used etc. Alternatively, you can steal the story and use it as a routine, saying that this happened to a friend of mine. (obviously you run the risk of her recognising the story (unlikely though as these mags are geared towards the frumpy and/or middle aged.)
This is from an English perspective but i am sure fellows in other countries will have their own versions of these magazines.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Don't take this the wrong way.

Stop reading those ''wussifying magazines'''unless you enjoy them. Yes they contain a bit of good stuff but it's nothing you can't figure out on your own. Women don't want a gay who crosses his legs and knows all the diffirent tea trends, Women want a guy who is an actual guy, if they wanted a feminine guy friend they would turn to their feminine gay friends or the artsy painter guy at school.

So be a guy but be considerate about what she doesn't like. which mostly (not always) are: sports, mathematical, Economic and technical. So don't talk about those. For example she Couldn't care less about how the giants beat the crap out of the other team whose name I can't remember SPAM. Do talk about how you like to surf at the beaches in Turkey.

I know what you mean, although i have found stuff like this useful to get me used to getting past the opener.

The problem is i guess, at this stage i am not looking to close at all. I am just getting used to the opener and am now trying to get comfortable talking to women that i used to consider 'out of my league'. This kind of stuff is good for that at least.

I do see tho how it can appear gay or whatever. Saying that, some women like that. I have a gay friend that says women make genuine passes at him all the time, even though they know he is gay. Style even used it as an opener- "If i was straight, you would be so mine".

I have trouble with being very 'alpha'. Probably like a lot of guys here, the alpha guys used to be someone to fear/be jealous of/resent. Hopefully, experience will get me over this.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. Appreciated very much as always!
