I do the game to improve my social skills, as well as more generally to increase my relish for life and other people, not necessarily sleeping with as many girls as possible. IMO, there's nothing admirable about that.
I know many PUA's have LTRs, but how do they cope when she's gone?
As for Mystery, the fact that he expressed a desire to kill himself was just jarring for me. Anybody ever had similar thoughts? Mystery's obviously a bright guy, and I find that people who like to think a lot sometimes get to that thought, but it takes strength to overcome it.

We're already dealing with Major league issues. Things that require a lot of emotional talk and understanding. In other words- if you don't know what's going on you'll just have to wait till you are in the same position to understand. Some things just take experience to understand, a lot of experience.

Agreed. I'll elaborate -

I consider myself to be a pretty normal person. I had a fairly normal childhood, etc. I think there is a pretty decent amount of depression on my mom's side of the family, but I'm only speculating (most of them have passed away so I can't really find out). I had normal girlfriend breakups and so on. Then that one girl came along, and since that has been over (read all about it in my multiple oneitis posts, lol) I have just been on a constant downward spiral. There were times when I was reading The Game and I said to myself "holy shit, I have had those exact same thoughts."

So, basically, I'm not so sure that there is actually something wrong with Mystery... I just think that girls can really fuck you up. Lack of love, lack of RETURNED love, etc etc... it can and will really mess you up. I have noticed the same exact pattern in more than one of my friends. I think for some people, for whatever reason, once that one girl (I don't know how else to describe it than "one girl") comes along and then is gone, you're just.... fucked. I have seen the same situations where guys are pretty unaffected by it... perhaps they just haven't met "that one" yet?

I don't know what the cure is, or even if there is one.

Ive had a million of those thoughts with my One-its, and it took me years to finally say she's not worth it, she will always be loved by me, but right now I dont want to be near her til she gets her head str8.
