I want to talk about confidence, arrogance and being reliable. So knowledge is know something will happen. Confidence is believing something will happen without certainty or inspite of reasons to the contrary. In a way confidence is very close to arrogance. Blind confidence and arrogance are essentially the same feeling depending on the situation. Strategic arrogance is good for taking risks, setting lofty goals, and feeling comfortable about a daunting challenge. Arrogance however is costly in important situations. Arrogance is reallys confidence that is not based in reality that is not based on tangible reasons and it is essentially found in situations where you rely on something thats unreliable.

How does all this theory apply to game. Alot of the inner game is simply like training wheels to get you to get out in the field and get expereience, for you to experiement. Also, a lot of the game is numbers based and all about taking risks. However, at some point you have to do what is reliable; at some point it is time out for experimentation and it is time to get real and do what is reliable. What game is reliable, tried and true?
