Posts: 88 | | Would it be too try hard to have awards/honors you have recived in sight at your place?
I would think a 1st palce spelling bee trophy would be too much. But For me, I might get an abum I made framed or disply my martial arts award. Mabye leave my flight bag out. Stuff like that.
Any thoughts?

Posts: 261 | | Definitely keep the 1st place spelling trophy. That's a hell of a conversation starter and cute/funny.
I almost wouldn't be too open about the martial arts stuff, It's always better when girls find out certain things about you naturally. The spelling trophy acts almost as a self-deprecating tool, while her finding out about your martial arts past is your mysterious side. The contrast between spelling and whooping ass may come across pretty hot to her. Just don't sound cheesy and conceited when revealing that you're actually a black belt.
