Our unconscious minds perceive meaning on what we display on our bodies: we are what wear, to an extent. Places of power that apply to peacocking include the chest, arms, and wrists (hands). Notice that a policemen wear their badges on their chest, Generals in the army patches on their shoulder, and figures of wealth with rolexes or other expensive watches on their wrists.
I found it hard to strike a balance between being different and being weird. But now that i have, here are some of the pea cocking items i use, which follow the same basic principle: just a little bit different
I highly recommend shirts with different/printed inner linings, cuffs, or collars such as

Shoes are another way to be different. Play with colors or styles. I personally wear

you can also wear a nice/different watch. An HB once told me that 'the first things girls look at on a guy are his shoes and what kind of watch he wears.' Now certainly, that may only be one specific breed of HB. but the principle remains constant, that what you wear in certain areas can define you. Rolex on the wrist: you're likely wealthy. Bright Pink wayfarer type sunglasses (which I rock, and are super fun!): You're a fun, exuberant person. ect..ect..
If you work out, display your biceps with tshirts that fit/flatter your biceps more.
peacocking is really useful because it can help identify you in a crowded club. an HB can remember you as "that guy with the nice shirt" or the "guy with the cool shoes."
Also, some things are more important than others depending on environment. Dressing with super loud colors everywhere may be more appropriate for a club rather than day game. Also, things like shoes may be less of a factor when you're in a crowded club, where most of the attention is going to be focused on your upper torso.
The most important thing though is to play around with styles you like, that highlight what's different about you. Consider even getting shirts tailored to your fit (which your dry cleaner will do for 10 +/- bucks).
Remember that what you wear can project parts of your personality, so use that to your advantage! Highlight elements of your personality you want people to see-i think that's the most effective way to peacock.
