Alright this guy at work is starting to piss me off. We work at a daycare and its me him and 2 girls (both 7's). He frequently calls me ugly but in kind of a joking way. For example today he was like:
"You're so ugly"
i said nothing, kinda ingorned him.
"even if you got plastic surgery it wouldnt help"
ignored him again.
"you know what we should get you a hooker"
kept ignoring him.

What should i do in these situations, i know im not the greatest looking guy and i have a big nose but its starting to realy piss me off. I dont want to snap at him or tell him to shutup though because he says these things kind of jokingly like as a song or something (hes kinda flamboyant).
He has a lisp but i duno if i should make fun of that, because it would show me as kinda a wimp for taking offense from his petty insults. I want a way to make his jokes at my expense backfire on him (by the way noone laughs at his jokes but its anoying being called ugly).

You guys got any advice on how to turn the joke around?

I'm not that popular with woman yet and he has a semi ugly girlfriend but thinks hes the shit with woman.

Sounds like he's threatened by you!
Or...
Sometimes when a boy/girl likes someone, and don't want their feelings known, they will insult the target.

Smile and say something like "If I studied you as much as you do me I'd ask you out to dinner."

Remind him that he has a girlfriend and he should concerntrate on complimenting her.

If he's got a girl, then I'd say, "I guess that's why your gf likes to wear those schoolgirl outfits....The skirt covers my face when she's sitting on it and so she can think of you while I do what you can't seem to for her..."

The key is eye contact, maintaining an authoritative and powerful vocal quality that will captivate him and make him listen. Speak at a medium speed, so that you don't seem rushed to get it out, but comfortable and confident in what you are saying. It takes me just about 11 seconds to say that whole sentence with the pause in the middle and everything.

+1.

DHV.

Of course you could kick his ass, just to make yourself feel better. But why bother. He's obviously got enough problems already.
