i know this has been covered but i was just thinking its funny that back in england's Tudor times, Henry the 8th was considered attractive.

i dont know if this is one of those historical facts that are just made up but i remember reading somewhere someones account of him (a girl) saying how he had a fine body and nice calves and pale.

NOTE: before he gathered an injury, he was actually a finely fit man who was built very muscular then became fat.

but if i go by that im pretty sure its when he was a fatass king, then it says something about looks.

its subjective and unreal. i mean of course looks matter and girls are just as shallow as guys, ive heard girls see a guy and just say "would!" or "wouldn't".

Henry was attractive in his day be it because he was THE FUCKING KING OF ENGLAND or because he was pale and showed he didnt work in field and his weight signaled he could afford to eat well and was a big guy who could look after himself (its not been until the passed 60years have we even had any form of real bodybuilders looking cut).

There are so many girls i'd fuck but it takes me a while to realise because i swear i have some kinda filter that take out all the girls that im not used to finding attractive because of 'social conditioning'.

all im saying is, looks are important but no one will ever understand looks as theyre just too complex yet simple (im not sure if i understand that lol). if you see a girl and think "shes kinda cute but my friends...." well girls have probably thought that about you.

so to sum up what im thinking; Looks are important but theyre not what you even think or what i even think, so dont worry if you think your ugly, it doesnt even make sense.

if you want to define looks you may aswell define; love or conciousness. lets just look well groomed and forget about whether looks matter. and of course ive read this view point elsewhere and stuff, just giving my perspective on this :D

btw henry the 8th isnt my only example, i was just thinking about different time periods and cultures and their ideas on attractive people.

maybe this is inner game material, im still not used to where things go on this forum haha! my bad

peace and love guys x

It's quite surprising how many people will attempt to make conclusions without really considering what scientific inquiry finds. Psychology isn't as established as a science as it is very young for a science, but it is a science which does produce repeatable results.

Now what people are doing on this forum is very specialised and circumvents alot of factors in current studies related to attraction and partnering; but it could be worth while looking into these area's of psychology from time to time.

Edit: It's not a great idea to use a king as an example in dating. He was a very powerful man with a very short temper and the rules of dating were very different back then.

Henry the 8th ruled in a time when women were still often seen as property, and marriages were formed with political, economic and social contracts/associations being the main aim along with a need to produce an heir to the throne. Back then marriage and courtship had very little to do with attraction etc

Very hard to compare his time to a more liberated era like now.
