Post subject:  The best things I ever gave up

The following is a list of the best things in life I have gave up. After the list I will encourage you to make your own list of things you want to give up and start on it. Then I will relate this to having sex with women.

1) Television. I gave up watching TV about 4 years ago and haven't looked back sense. Its not possible for me to describe in words how much social conditioning your exposed to through TV. Give it up for just a few months and you will notice that you can now form your own opinions and think clearer. Then you can decided how much you want to reintroduce it into your life (if at all).

2) Junk food and unhealthy food in general. I've probably added several years onto my life and every year of my life is now better. More energy, stamina, and sex appeal are just a few of the benefits of giving up shitty "food."

3) Soft drinks. This is is pretty much the same as above.

4) Video Games. Ok, I have to confess... I do play about 30 minutes a week. Anyways, I used to spend a lot of time playing video games and giving it up has given me so much more free time to peruse other more important and profound things.

5) God. I became an atheist in my freshman year of high school and have never looked back. If you want to believe in God, fine. However, free yourself from any organized religion that surrounds the Christian/Muslim God. Like TV, Religion (with the exception of Buddhism) throws so much bad social conditioning at you. Free yourself. The only good religion, IMO, is Buddhism.

6) Facebook. I still have one because if your under 30 it will be how you get invited to a lot of parties and events. However, I check it once a day for like 5 minutes top to see any invites or to send out invites of my own. It amazes me how many people waste their life way reading other peoples drama and playing farmville.

7) Porn and masturbation. I have recently given up all porn. Already I have turned into an even more horny bastard. I am now able to put that sexual energy to good use though.

Make your own list of things you want to give up. Focus on unproductive things that take up a lot of your time and also on things that pushes a lot of social conditioning on you.

Okay, thats all good and shit but how does it all relate to women?

What do you think will happen when you suddenly have the power of clarity of thought due to the lack of incoming social conditioning and a ton of free time?

You will find ways to improve your life, thats what! You will go out and meet more women, work on your lifestyle, have time to make all that money you want, ect... In short, you will now start working towards actually becoming an attractive man. Ladies love attractive men.

I agree with number 4 so much.

How many people here have been playing unhealthy amount of video games? I'm going to say A LOT and that's probably one of the reasons that eventually led us here.

This is my list.
  • 1. Hard drinking and smoking. I also gave up a career that required me to drink a lot of alcohol at night partying with clients.

    2. Easy lays with girls. Things that come too easily no longer excites me except for testing Stelar's method. That's exciting.

    3. Social networking sites. I check my Facebook once or twice a month. No picture uploads. Nothing. After several stalking problems and bad dates with women who looked good in pictures but are downright ugly in person, I've decided to concentrate on WYSIWYG. Stalking problems are also better managed this way.

    4. Martial arts tournaments and fighting in general.
Unless physically provoked, I no longer engage in this type of physical activity. I can no longer risk injury at my age and my current profession.

    5. Television. I haven't watched tv for more than a year.

    6. Video games. I haven't played any video games for more than two years.

    7. Long phone conversations and text messages. Sex on phone is a total waste of time but sexting is good for framing the Same Day Lay meet up.

    8. Hanging out with my fraternity buddies over bottles of beer. Many complain a lot. Too stressful. But I still hang out with the business minded ones.

it's good to throw out things that clutter your life.
don't close your "heart" on God. religion may feel like a crutch to you. running feels definitely easier without one. but it's your perception of God through unfortunately flawed religious teachings that created that crutch you wished to toss out.

what you really did by uncluttering your life, was creating space for God. all you need do now is open your heart for God and start "flying" instead of only "running".

atheist? you wish...you're "tagged"
one is either raised as atheist or not.
there's no such thing as becoming atheist.
it is becoming arrogant at best.

I gave up porn. I read a post on here a few weeks ago about it. haven't watched since

I gave up bad food. i have been working out for 5 times a week for the past year, and the confidence that comes with a great body is fantastic. If my diet wasnt in check, the body i have wouldn't be possible

TV. I used to watch tv a lot, but now i simply dont have the time, and as you said, it really does help against social conditioning

Religion I gave up religion freshman year as well. I went to a catholic school and simply could not understand what all the fuss was about.

however, i have one thing to say in regards to help out Neyos. We atheists cannot stand when you call us arrogant. what happens if you find an HB10 who is by chance an atheist? if you impose your beliefs on her, shes gonna tell you to fuck off. have your own beliefs. you will be respected for them. but dont impose them on others just because they have a different viewpoint from your own.

Anyway, great post. I realize my list is short, but the things i have given up have really made time for focusing on creating a better me. Great point here

My list goes the same like the poster's one.

I wanna focus on stoping smoking. I reduced drinking quite a lot but I only did it cause of lack of money so I'd like to reduce it to 0 again even though I don't think there's something wrong in drinking a few glasses of wine/champaign occasionally.

Facebook is a craphole. And the stupid thing is that I play games there lol

It's all doable just need to be consistent and brain power to do it.

I sometimes smoke only cause I'm hungry to supress the hunger. Not that I'm fat or anything( on the contrary) but It's just expensive with my budged to buy healthy food and still afford to go out and practice game.

LOL.

To everyone else, lets not start a debate over religion or God. Its pointless as your not going to convert anyone to your way of thinking (no matter which belief you have) on a pua forum.

Anyways, great list you guys are coming up with!

How do you expect him not to challenge you? You just said not to follow religions like Christianity and Islam. Islam is the world's fastest growing religion and Christianity is the world's largest religion. If what you said were true do you actually think these two religions would be the world's fastest growing/largest religions?

I like the fact that you're honest. However, there are some moments where it's best to leave a piece to the puzzle missing. I'm not saying you should lie, but it probably would have been best if you kept your list to 6 things, instead of 7.

Gave up TV like 3 years ago. Don't miss it.

Porn, not masturbation yet though.

Organized religion. I guess I am a Deist/Pantheist now.

Bizarrely my list is virtually identical to yours, didn't give up anything intentionally but they naturally fell out due to my mindset. Oh and btw Warp many of your posts are both very insightful and inspiring (not brown nosing) please keep posting away.

McDonald's is the world's most popular restaurant. That doesn't make it good, nor healthy.
