My first week out after reading "The Game" I was showing my friend something I learned. I approached a 2 set, HB8 and an HB9, and actually winged it. I told them me and my friend were arguing over if women thought scars were hot (I was recently burned at work and had a nice little scar on my arm) and whether or not if they thought they were attracting to women. They loved it and told me "Oh yea and blah, blah", we were discussing our scars when the HB9 asked me if that was a pickup line or something, more or less if it was what I used to approach women and wondered what they could do to approach men. My stomach crunched up because this WAS the hottest set in the place, and probably my 4th set all together. I tried to keep the convo going but gave a time constraint because my friend was being weird at the bar (hint: dont wing with a drunk) I told them it was nice meeting them and went back to my friend. My point here is that if the have read the book or not they may pick up on your pick-up. Like Monkey said dont worry about the book, be creative, and if you think youve been caught follow what Game Boy, Monkey, and Smile all said above

I realise that this original posting was old...but I'm a girl and I'm reading The Game (31 years old, London based, recommended reading by a 43 year old PUA I know, very skilled at his game) and I don't care...it won't stop me liking someone who tries any of the games/tricks/whatever...
I like it, shows guys want to improve themselves and do a good job at something that can make you both feel good.

I'd turn it into part of the pick up if she has read it...laugh with her about it, don't be scared that she 'knows' the secrets! It's not Fight Club lol

You'll make her feel like she is cool to know the score and if she turns her nose up at it/you..you could remind her nicely that there are AFCs out there who could be hitting on her and doing it in a pathetic/drunk/lecherous way and that you cared enough to do it in style.

I don't think you should panic and freak out that it becomes public knowledge..use it to your advantage. It's FUN...enjoy, women like to feel special so this is one other way to make that happen...

I'm a little late, but there are definitely more than five ways to DHV. All you have to do is show some sort of value. Whether it be magic tricks, a great social group, hell it could be your natural vibe alone that gives you value. Be enthusiastic but controlled. Trick her into something (Mystery does this to shift himself into a more "in-controlled" position).

I doubt Woman will remember the material as much as a Man does, so even if you do find someone who read the game they probably won't remember anything, and if they do, that is always why it's better to create your own examples and add a bit of variety in the routines.

Regardless, when people see things on the big screen and what not, of course it creates more attention to it, but then it makes people see it as "less value" since it would be "common-knowledge".

If a girl does call you out and says You've Been Reading the game or w.e all you have to say is the game? What's that? Do you really expect me to read a book on picking up girls? You that insecure? You must be gay (laugh it off)

Not only can you combine a neg out of it, but also a DLV for reading books about picking up women, you can probably call her a lesbian or something, and take it on from there.

You can also act spontaneous and say stuff like, "Oh, since you already seem to know the secrets, what would be my next move?"

your game, your confident, cocky, funny personality shouldnt be some kind of facade... you need to maintain your personality, the various techniques you use are mere examples of a confident, teasy guy at work... dont focus merely on the girl as the prize, make yourself the prize and make friends with the guys as well and dont just think of it as amoging, friends have other friends that could be hot girls... and hey, who can ever have too many mates!

Thank god there having trouble with the movie cause we are going to be forced to alter our routines drasticly it will be like dooms day for alot of our lines.

my sister was assigned to read the Game her freshmen year of college. Thats actually where I learned about Mystery and the whole PUA community because I stole it from her when she was done. A year and a half later, Mystery was on VH1 with a show.

Here's something that only happened last night:

I was on a flight back from Germany and half way through I finished reading The Game. There was a cute blonde German chick sitting next to me who I've smiled at when she first sat down. I didn't want to talk to her straightaway because I was keen on finishing the book. So once I finished, I showed it to her and said 'Have you read this?' and she looked at it and goes 'No...' and I replied 'It's very bad...it teaches men how to pick up women..' and she smiled 'that is very bad indeed'. I gave it to her as a present, saying that it'll keep her on her toes in case anyone is trying to pick her up. She loved the gesture, we talked some more and she ended up writing her number on the corner of a page, ripped it up and gave it to me.

I saw mystery on Conan O'Brian talking about alphas and peacocking then I found The Game.

I have a fuck buddy who read the game because she overheard me talking about it to a guy friend of mine. She did her research on the book and actually read the thing in a DAY. This was in my last year of high school.

I panicked because I thought she would tell everyone in school about it. BUT! What did she do instead? She admired me for getting over afc problems and actually doing something about it. She recognized some patterns from the book and thought it was sweet. She became my pivot and ACTUALLY spoke to me in PUA code a bit. It was cute you know - we'd write on fb walls to each other.

I still fuck her.

I think if you can get her to discretely realize that you aspire to be above the rest, your ambition is a turn on itself. NUFF SAID.
