I totally agree. I am overly satisfied with how this thread turned out. Of course, since I'm the guy who started it, I guess that's not saying much.

I respect EagleEyes and Zmbcm1 in how they were stand-up guy and came on here and spoke and backed up their arguments, and then stayed in contact, rather than how certain drive-by posters we've seen.

If anyone has anything to add, that would be all the more awesome, but I was thinking of something else too.

I was thinking next, and this might be good feeder material for a future post.

We've all heard this dozens of times as the pua mantra, or just rhetoric spouted by any "human potential movement" guru.

It is nice to think that we could just commit to a sports/workout/Scarface montage like you see in the movies, where, while a song like "Take it to the Limit" is playing in the background, you see:

- a guy is lifting weights, and getting bigger and more cut in every shot.

- a guy looks at a bookshelf of books with that have titles like: "How to Give Women What They Want", "How to Please Your Woman, and be Happy Too!" and brushing them all away and replacing them with books titled: "How to Get What You Want as a Man", and "How to Get Yours."

Then you emerge 90 days later as the real man you intended to be, and you just go about your life, talking to girls at Starbucks, catching them on the street if they look familiar, chatting in elevators, and somehow things are just working out better now for some reason. You're getting laid a lot and you find yourself in a circa 2003 movie with a bewildered Jennifer Anniston who has no clue how hot she is, even hotter girls throw champaign in your face, and you go back to your $1M condo with Jennifer Anniston and get it on for the rest of your life.

As Penelope Cruz says in Vanilla Sky, do you really think "Every passing moment is an opportunity to turn it all around"....??..!!
