As you are from the u.k. like me i will give you a brief rundown on a typical american sports bar.

For a start the only people who like them are american.
I have been in a few on my travels in south america where the staff are very pretty latin girls who pander to the americans in a way that an english guy would see through straight away.
Buying them flowers and shit. Big tips etc.
Then i watch the staff when they are out of site, throwing the floweres on the floor and sticking 2 fingers up at them and shouting names.
Only to go back 2 minutes later being mega nice and friendly.
Its the most amazing two faced shit i have ever seen.
Talk about professional.

Its nothing like what we have in the u.k. (An american only type place)
The staff are pro hired gun types. (very busy)(flirting all the time, very fake place)
Big screen t.v.s everywhere with baseball and yank football on 24/7
These places attract a certain type of person.
American soldiers on leave, love em. (american)
The staff are always a 8/10 looks wise.
They get hit on 24/7 all the time buy every guy in there.

This is a totally different type of place than your local wimpy bar where you can pull the waitress with goofy teeth.

Furthermore.

The usa has a tipping structure that we do not have here in the u.k.

The wages that an employee makes as a bartender or waiter are shit.
The bulk of there income is from tips, so go figure.

If anybody else thinks sports bars are great places to pull they need to be SHOT AT DAWN.
Do not confuse this type of place with other restaurants,diners etc where you can game the girls.

Where the staff are a lot easier to GAME.

Correct me Roz if i am wrong but you talking about a sports bar here.
