Great idea, from a publicity point of view. If you feel that you can write in a way that newbies can understand, more power to you. However, it is my personal opinion that if a noob is asking very easily answered questions, then he isn't MAKING USE OF ALREADY AVAILABLE MATERIAL.

A book can't teach motivation.
The material is there yes.

The problem we are trying to solve is that the information is not in any one particular place, it's dotted around. Many people are unaware of various Pick up styles, techniques and artists. Simply becuase they have never been shown them.

This book gives a FULL description of pick up, it's history, its philosiphy, it's various styles and on going debates.

As opposed to an specefic groups merchandise, which will undoubtly push it's own material as the best and only way to pick up.

Hmm... I hate to bring a negative vibe to the interaction, but I'll start off with some concerns.

First off, there's tons of different methods out there and this forum is where advocates of each one meet to discuss the strengths and weaknesses. So one beginners guide isn't gonna cut it; everyone has to develop their own style.

Second, there's so much stuff new people need to learn... I mean, I was an armchair PUA before I joined the forum and started sarging with other members. There's enough beginners' guides to occupy a nerd (me) for a month, another one is the last thing we need.

Now, back to the positivity (my favorite part): there are things that newbies want to find out that no manual I've read mentions:

HOW DO I GET STARTED!? Right NOW, what are some of the things I could do to get going on the path to PUAdom.

What sort of results do people get? How do I find a wingman? How do I improve quickly? How can I find a mentor? How do I make the most out of the resources PUAF is offering?

This is the kind of stuff I'd recommend newbies to get into. Because it's all about getting out there and practicing, not reading tons of manuals. This is how I got to where I am, and this is the place where I met some of the guys that helped me along my path. As far as theory goes, a simple list and description of pickup literature will suffice, there's more than enough of it.

Still, if there's a section on sexual mastery in there, I think Hobbit should write it. I can't imagine what his girls are going through, but goddamn it must be good.

I appreciate your concerns Ace, but it isnt so much a guide on how to be a PUA as just generally hints, tips, advice and information on the basics. I beilieve Zip is adding in a history of PU aswell as a description of the various techniques. Its main aim is to give starters a BALENCED intoduction to the game rather than them read 1 book and treat it as the bible. Its to help people work out what is right for them, quickly.

If you are curious and would like a copy (although i am sure ZIP will buzz it around the mods before its released) tell me or her and 1 of us will get a copy to you.

If you want to see it in an unfinished state I can send you my copy, although i am still waiting for some things from 2 people and so far i dont have the document with Zips input.

Right, i have now got a final draft. It is compleate apart from Zips stuff and there is a few things at the end which havent been slotted in yet. But all the information is there.

This means i would very much appreciate some people to read it and comment, I will warn you now its quite long, 26k words.

If you are willing to read it though, please send me a PM asking and also tell me if you are using a version of microsoft word that is older than the 2007 version.

A very hard working,
madals

Ace,

There's a post about it in the mod section. It includes a breakdown of the sections I'm planning on inputting. Plus, the mods will approve it before it's given to the new members.

Madals, I'm driving to canada as we speak, so I'll be speaking with you shortly about the cosmic fabulosity of your work. This is going to be kickin.

The book is indeed a great idea!! As a newb it's hard to find a point to get started at this forum: so much valuable information, you just like to read it all! Therefore, having a starters guide is a good starting point!

I just read a first draft of Madal's book and it's awesome! It covers a lot of valuable stuff AFC's like me want to know about. It's well written and gets you excited to learn more about PUA. Furthermore it provides some good techniques to overcome Approach Anxiety..

Hope the final version will be released soon!

Yeah the books looking sharp, really enjoying XFman's explanation of PU generations. Beschatten's infamous talk on inner game. KB's clear look into alpha body launguage, and Madals on eye contact. I'm not even going to brag about my articles :P.

It's times like this that demonstrate how much of a positive influence this community can generate when it pulls together.

Good call Madals and everyone else who contributed their knowledge to this book.
