information is power....

It cant hurt you to read up on everything possible
"Experience is what counts, everything is else is just information" (knowledge is power/information is power I think is moot, no offense), I think I can attest to that. Personally I think I read quite a lot about a lot! As you can see by that elegant structuring of that sentence :D, but I've still not reached any of my goals (maybe because I don't have any) but either way I think information is important but not the defining factor. After all I can sit here all day reading about how to drive a car but once I get into the car I can guarantee that I won't be able to drive it. Sure I'll be a lot better off than someone who had no background knowledge at all and I'll probably become proficient faster but I will still not be smooth right off the bat nor will I progress as much after a certain point because I believe spoon feeding causes people to become lazy.

Richard Bandler seems to be the best source for information about these things. =P And the book Trance-Formation, which I'm currently reading includes a good basic, and improved learning, compared to Frogs into Princes, which can seem confusing to many.

Other books you should read on the subject are e.g. Monsters And Magical Sticks: There's no such thing as Hypnosis.

The concept that "The map is not the territory" comes from General Semantics by Alfred Korzybski... his book Science And Sanity is something I think everyone should study.
It's about non-Aristotelian logic... look it up on Wikipedia "General Semantics"

btw; Joey, ^^ I laughed.

The tools of n.l.p. are not to be dabbled with lightly. They are powerful tools for change so be sure of what changes you want to make.
With love from one who knows.

Most of these mindsets are in fact derived from General Semantics.
