I get it now . . . we're talking about two different things.

Especially amongst friends, there is a difference between the "annoying little brother act", or the "crazy boss act", or the "half serious/half kidding act" from the "I am the circus geek, watch me eat shit act."

The first three examples actually entices laughs. The video that Hobbit attached, to me, is hilarious. The guy's standing there with his low budget phone cam video promo with the special effects thing going on. "Look at me. . . I can do this and that. Imagine what you can do. . . shazam!" - This is quite genius. And if you're chillin' out with your buddies, what's wrong with telling them that you're the champ and you get the ladies and you get the vagina? . . because what's the reaction you get from your friends? (This is the most important part) They go, "Yeah, whatever dude. I get more pussy than you fag! ha ha ha"

^This is social awareness. This is knowing your environment, and knowing how to play off of it. This is very different from the habits mentioned in the initial post.
