you guys don't get it when the film comes out there are going to be sooooooooo many hateful women out there and i was always open about being a PUA but now i can't because when the film comes out PU will become chessy. And Wedding Crashers? I mean, there are movies about guys who spend their time picking up girls. Any girl with more than half a brain would have figured out that some guys with a common interest would form a group.

Also, I think that "The Game" movie will be more about Style's change in his life and the community, and not as a guide to picking up girls.

One more thing, its naive of anyone to think that after talking to a girl for more than 5 minutes she will not realize that she is being picked up. The trick to being a PUA is to be different and better than every other guy.

Hell, there's a girl I'm working on at work, one of my customers, and she knows for a fact I'm gaming her. I've never said, she's never asked, but we both know it, and she responds very positively to the whole thing. I'm not really all that interested in her (she has a cute smile, and she's librarianish, which I like, but she's only about a 4), but our interactions are seldom boring.

Don't worry about it. And as for the horrible dykes coming to crash our party... Just think of them as a little more challenging than the other girls you're sarging. ^__^ You can't shut down a community like this. Take away our tools, we'll build new tools. Take away our routines, and we'll write new ones. Make us look like dorks, and we'll come back cooler than ever because if there is ONE COMMON THREAD to the pick-up community, it is that we were all dorks at one point or another. We'll survive. We'll weather the storm. And by the time I'm thirty, the girls will have forgotten all about us PLUS we'll have new technology to play with.

The only end to the community is when boys stop wanting girls to want them. And I don't see that coming any time soon.

Who has proof that there WILL be a movie? Below is a quote from Style which expresses his disinterest in a reality show. Was he doing this because he had a bigger picture in mind (a movie)?

I believe an option has sold, but that really just means that the studio has the ability to make a movie without violating copyrights. It doesn't mean the movie will be made. And options are worth huge money, so I can understand where Style would be more likely to sell a movie option than a Reality TV option. With decent sales, a sold movie option and a strong regular writing job, I can't even imagine how much money Style's got kicking around right now.

Doesn't mean there will be a movie. If there is, I'm not too worried about the outcome. We'll find a way around it, and if we don't, our successors will.

+1 for Monkey's and Kurent's point of vue. Why necessarly open with a opinion opener when you have a thousand other ways of doint it? The most important thing is your attitude, not the first couple of words.

You don't have to hide or disguise your game as long as you've got the upper-hand and aren't needy. You're the greatest "hunter" there is! The prey is going to discover it and want you to "hunt" her!

As the movie, in my opinion it'll have a slightly stronger impact than the others that treated of the same subject because:
1- It's based on a True Stroy
2- It reveals lots of diturbing realities for common people, unlike Hitch which is just funny...

what's this movie called? I'd like to find out anything I can about it. TO be honest, I feel like if the movie comes out and "can I get your opinion on something" becomes the new "can I buy you a drink?" it will make us look cool. Because even if you see a movie, you HAVE to work your way up to being even decent, and we're in the middle of all that. There are more psychological routines out there and there and more openers that just haven't been thought of, hell, you wanna be known, come up with new game and post it for everyone to try, you'll become a guru in your own way if your stuff works. Honestly, give it a try, you never know what could happen.

The thing I'm worry about is about the community !!

Im not worried about the canned openers or that the opinion opener will never work again, I can deal with that , but just imagine :

Okay check the Introduce Yourself Forum , just look how often we have a new member that heard about the game (Style's book) and joined the community and want to learn all about the MM and all the stuff; You will see that we get 5 new members each week that heard or read the book.

Now imagine what will happen when the movie goes out and what will happen to the PUA community, you will have tons of guys (AFC) searching in google about PUA and MM and seduction forums; The community will be fulll of AFC's and every guy will watch the movie and will try to become a PUA using the same techinics and then when you try a palm reading or any cold reading (the cube ) the girl will say oh yeah like in the movie / or A guy just made a plam reading of my hand , no thanks.

Xfman. I don't think those people will last much in the community. The key to these things is consistency, and that is something most people lack. After the movie Pumping Iron was released, everybody wanted to become a Bodybuilder, and bodybuilding gre a lot. But it is still a less than mainstream sport or activity. As well, there are lots of wannabe's in all sorts of things. How many people in guitar forums play real well? How many people in magic forums do good magic tricks?

All you guys need to chill out and not be so worried about a movie to be realised. I don't wanna harp on anyone, but you say openners will be lost and people will know we are apart of a PUA community.... I just wanna say in my final statement on this post... "So the fuck what..." It doesn't matter if you are in the community or what... you are who you strive and desire to be. I totallt agree with dorian in the point where he says, that they won't be as good and will be wannabes. But what is wrong with helping wannabes.... we are all wannabes in some sort or other. Whats wrong with getting a male population to be able to stand up and actually get out there and pick up girls. Its it cause it means less for the rest of us. Who cares... if we are who we are now, play our "game" then why would that affect our ability to PU girls.... If you are scared then that shows a insecurity with your game. Personally I am interested in this movie, and if it is produced how it will affect how I play the game. I love a challenge. But if you are totally scared or worried about the inpoor of AFCs into the community and how they will destroy your chances of picking up women because of canned openners and such... then really... you are just afraid of AFCs..... if you ARE afraid of AFCs.. then I think you should just leave the community now.... I don't mean any offense just that you are not really ment to be a PUA, if thats the case. So just deal with it... if a movie comes out so be it... if not then whatever.... but in the end... who will be the better PUA... YOU... OR A AFC WHO WATCHED A DAMN MOVIE...........
