Yes, I believe the majority of field reports that I read.

I think it is fairly easy to figure out if what someone writes is true or not.

If you go out all the time, you'll read a report and be like "Hmm... That just doesn't make any sense."

Most of the FRs I read aren't like that. My guess is because they want to be as accurate as possible so someone else can uncover what they are doing wrong AND right.

Glory LR reports though, I guess I could see there being more of an issue.

The validity of the FRs never really crosses my mind, that isn't the value I get out of them.

If I see a line, technique, or mindset that resonates with my game... That's most important to me.

It's also great after seeing the same patterns over and over again to give value and help guys overcome various sticking points...

I feel the same way about the inclusion of pictures in FRs. If I read some money line that someone used on a 6, that doesn't make it any better than if he used it on a 9.

It's all about finding new ideas that might integrate into my own game and make ME better. Then go out and test it for myself.

I do like having pictures in field reports. It adds to the entertainment value, and makes it easier to visualize. If you click on my link "My Journey" which is basically my field report thread, there are a few pictures.

There used to be more, but I fell into a little trouble when I was dating 6 different girls in the small city of Milwaukee and one of them found out about RSDNation

Drama!!! :) So I had to delete a few of the pics.

Also, if you do this for a living, someone may interpret posting pictures as exploitation of the girl. *like her lawyer*

Interesting question none-the-less...

NO! NO! NO! A bunch of young boys bragging about what they get is the last thing you should be doing with your time. Focus on YOU! Don't compete. Love YOU! Develop your true self to the utmost. Radiate from the inside. That is a lifetime process that you can start working on right now. The last thing you want to do is to concentrate on reading the musings of some horny boy.

I do not know if other people just make shit up in their FRs... I dont. Why would I?
I am just a name on a computerscreen to people here, they have no idea of who I am, why would I need to brag to a couple of faceless strangers (ok this is not really true, I love you guys). Still my point remains valid, I see this as education and learning, a FR should teach you something, show an insight etc. Yes, you write it as a story and you leave things out, you make yourself the hero, it is all from your perspective. But you write it as close to the truth as you can. You try to get the important stuff right.

Plus, my wing reads the reports on this forum and I would lose value if he thought that my field reports did not match with what really happened.

If I can make it past the first paragraph of a field report, it's usually a decent read. Mostly . . . I just feel happy for the kids who seem genuinely elated with their personal progress. So what if they want to show off? Jeesh, since when is it so bad to yell out, "Look at me ma! No hands!" A little bit of this is healthy as I believe it's just a natural emotion.

On top of some "feel-good" entertainment, I am sometimes pleasantly surprised at some life lessons here and there. To me, the lessons are seldom told throughout the entire report. Few writers are talented enough to keep a lesson in mind, create a motif, frame it, and deliver it through tightly written prose. Rather, it's one little thing that the poster said. Maybe something he did . . . maybe something that even he's not even aware of. Maybe something that happened "behind" the scenes . . .

So to me, I don't give a damn if it's real or not. Perception is far more powerful than reality. Hell, give me a FAKE report that I can learn from and apply to my lifef; I'll take it. And I'm not sure if some of those dumbass reports are real or not but if it's a long winded bore, I just won't bother reading past the first paragraph. No big deal . . .

I do an FR for every time I go out.

but 95% of the time I don't post them online, I just keep them in a file for my own reference, so I can identify patterns, sticking points etc.

but if I thought it was funny or if there's a question that arises that only someone else would know the answer to, then it's probably worth posting.

as for recalling details, I carry a dictaphone with me in my jacket pocket so I can record convos.
