Excellent post, Madals. I like your attitude. The way I see it life is never fair and I love every single bit of unfairness there is to offer because without adversaries one hardly has the opportunity to evolve and become stronger. If you were granted everything in life, what s the point of living?

When I was in final year of highschool I got suspended 3 months before my graduation for not living up to the school standard. The coordinator was afraid my poor grades would lower the school average and honestly I didn’t consider myself an outstanding student either. It was a tremendous blow to my self-esteem and I almost got a mental breakdown. My dad told me once when the chips are down, when the going gets tough, only the champions will keep going and persevere. This s what I did, I promised myself if I were going to lose I will lose with dignity and I will try my absolute best to prove them wrong, so I busted myself for the entire 3 months studying from 7am to late at night and started running marathon to increase stamina. Lo and behold, I was ranked no. 2 in my class and got into the school I always wanted. This would never have happened and I would never have gathered enough motivation if I weren’t suspended in the first place. So life gave me a lemon and I made fucking lemonade mate! this experience had profound impact on my life ever since, I now appreciate my achievements and I always strive to be the best at what I do.

Btw Madals, feel free to PM if you have any questions about the medical field.

great post, good to see a person living life to the max and not letting anything hold himself back

I myself have arthritis, is a massive pain (literally)
messes up with my walking, sometimes I can't, often I can only go along and a very slow shuffle. Stairs are a royal nuisance too.

Yet I'm still involved in the community, and regularly go out with good success :)

Because of a few things that have happened recently i also thought its good to mention that there isnt a switch you can flick to make everything better and it will stay like that forever.
Its an on going process, there will always be things that make you feel a bit shit and imo there is nothing wrong with accepting. You still need to be able to make the best out of these shit times tho, thats the key.
Its how you act when you are in a bad situation that matters, not how you react to the situation itself. Try not to whine and moan about things, telling people who shit it is for the sake of it achives nothing. By all means talk things out with people, dont bottle it up, but do it in a way that gives a positive outcome. There is nothing to fear of asking for help, there will always be someone in the group that can do something better than you. A leader isnt there to take control, they are there to help the group achive its potential.

I will use a very good example from Fin:
If your group was trying to get somewhere, and the bus was an hour late. Dont just sit there thinking "i am the alpha, this is for them to sort out". The group WILL be pissed off so a true leader will find SOLUTIONS to bad situations. Be the guy that say "I will call a taxi, and we can split the fair".

I apologize.

Good read though man, keep it up. I look forward to reading more stuff from you. My primary insecurity is my height which I have been battling with for years. You seem to over come that and continue accomplishing. It's something I definitely need to overcome.

I saw this when you first posted it and decided not to read it because of the longitivity. I hate to make broad generalities but people who post long things generally have nothing to say. You my friend are the exception! now that I have read it I am really glad I did.

did I mention that being my height makes hugs rather amazing! - he he

Yeah, inspiring post. You are wise beyond your years.

I have been thinking myself lately. Like you said nothing is good or bad, you can either use it to your advantage or you can let it take you down.

The most important thing is to love yourself because if you do not love yourself you aren't going to exhibit those attractive traits.

As a bonus when you love yourself, everything else starts to go right too.

Best

when life gives you lemons, make grape juice and let the world wonder how you did it...

very awesome. i really like the idea of writing things down on paper. i recommend writing your goals down especially; it's remarkable how much it solidifies them.
A GOAL IS A DREAM WITH A DATE ATTACHED. so attach a time limit to your dreams, and you'll be surprised what you can accomplish.

keep on rockin', madals. :)

*thunderous applause*

This post has really inspired me, but my motto is
When life gives you lemons, find someone who has vodka and throw a party.
Thanks :D
