Well people learn differently for sure, but I don't think just being pushed out to the lions, and nothing else, or sitting in your living room reading pickup books and watching DVD's, and nothing else, is going to help anyone.
Of course. But my point is that the material is available everywhere, most pretty cheap. But many guys struggle with actually putting themselves out. And bootcamps are pretty good for that, in fact, that's what I believe they were designed for. I think one really needs to be determined to NOT improve, if he pays a 1000 bucks and then refuses to open sets. If that's not motivating enough, then probably nothing is.

That's why I say bootcamps may be more suitable for this "read up, sit at home, and do nothing" kind of guy, then someone who's going out anyway, because the first kind of guy will experience a lot of new things he's never done before, while the second type doesn't get much out of it, except for the feedback of the instructors. And by what I see here on the forums, I can safely say that the first type is a lot more common(sadly) in the community. That's the only reasonable explenation I can come up with for the massive contrast that is in the reviews of these bootcamps. And right now I'm not speaking about Adam's bootcamps specifically, but bootcamps in general.

Well, I'd get that (like others do too probably) about "you didn't want it enough" (usually by people pushing the bootcamps and claiming it was a success)

With me, I wanted to improve, and wanted to get this part of my life *handled*. And I was willing to put my money where my mouth is and go on a bootcamp.

I'd say someone who's determined to not succeed either no longer knows what pickup is (gave it up) or has lots of opportunities with women, and friends trying to teach him, and he's like "naaaw man, I'm good."

i never liked rsd. after watching rsd because someone said its the best thing out there i learned very little. and now looking back i learned absolutely nothing about meeting women. only some terminology that people use.
and i do not watch their youtube videos, it is boring.

i will read the thread later.

I wasn't talking about you, mate. You're the exact opposite, you were determined to improve in the first place. That's what I wanted to point out. That you already had what the bootcamp had to offer.

And this determination to not succeed is usually serious subconcious stuff.

The subconcious can be a real bastard. It is meant to preserve the safe environment. And trying includes the possibility of failure, so the subconcious will do its best to avoid getting out of the comfort zone. It's not so easy for everyone to override this.

And there could be other reasons for subconcious inhibitions that reflect core personality weaknesses. That is the reason why I don't really mind this "self-improvement" tendency. But that would go pretty off topic, so I think I'd just stop right here.

I think Owen's self-improvement stuff is actually great, he's really hitting his stride. The rest of the instructors come off as boderline creepy and dislikable, and that includes Julian. I don't really see what the fuss is about with him.

This.

And Owen finished his stride in the late 2000's with Blueprint. Now it's all about teaching hotel auditoriums full of 8th graders, general "confidence with women", and "how to approach" - related material.

As stated, IMHO, Tyler no longer has any business teaching self-help-ish/life-coach/overall-personal-improvement/borderline business advice.

He should stick to getting huge crowds of horny little 8th grade virgins all riled up.

Semantics darling, semantics.

People are afraid of the PUA term are usually scared to demo.

RSD have infield footage, if that is not inspiring what is?

Stop making excuses.

Jackal.

Bro, you're focusing too much time, effort and emotions on the wrong things. Instead of getting heated up against RSD, just get out there and sarge 50 girls a day for 21 consecutive days.

Ask for guidance ONLY when you encounter a stumbling block that you cannot solve on your own or you cannot find among the gems here on the forum.

Since you appear to be the brainstormer type, brainstorm on the positive things and filter out any negative things. Positive over negative. End of story.

Agreed. To the OP you need to get out of the "following" mindset. It's kind of like what I did with my music. I used to idolise my favourite musicians, I thought they were like Gods. Now that I can play all their songs note for note, my opinion of them has gone down and I am driven by writing my own music, not following theirs.

Don't be a Samurai, be a Ronin. Like a lionness teaches her cubs to hunt, after a while they need to hunt for themselves. The only magic pill out there for pickup is you. And your pair of balls.
