Best thing I gave up was Daily usage of PU forums.
These places can be useful when you start of, but the characters and conversations that go on a lot of pick up boards are worth avoiding and the paranoia and passive-hostility embodied in some PUA forum go-ers aren't great influences to have as regular features of your life.
I agree with this. Reading a lot of different views on one topic can help a lot. But it also causes you to overthink your own point of view. Although I didn't give up the forums.
1. Smoking. I started playing competitive sports again so smoking is a big no no. Also saves money.
2. The one I think is most important. I didn't give it up. I just got rid of it - General laziness. I find ways to motivate myself to do what haves to be done this goes for both work and play and everything in between. Except if it means getting up on a fatty.
3. I only watch tv in my free time when there is nothing else to be done. But then it's usually something interesting. Not a crappy romantic comedy.
4. Texting. I only use my phone when I absolutely have to I never just lay around texting. I even bought a watch so that I don't have to take out my phone to check the time.
5. People that don't contribute to my life positively. I didn't just tell them to fuck off. But I avoid people who don't contribute to my life, and for those who do I try and repay the favor whenever possible.
6. Energy and soft drinks. The energy drinks gave me energy when needed but in the long run slows me down as I was starting to struggle without it. I live on fruit juice and vitamin water(Ugh I sound to healthy)
7. And I am trying to give up internet surfing. I am on my computer about 6 hours a day just for university. So often my work takes longer because I get sidetracked browsing. This is hard for me... As I am busy typing this while I should be working. Fuck. Now I feel guilty. Farewell.
