Great forum, and excellent Thread.
as corny as it sounds my take would be that Approach Anxiety (AA)
makes us alive and on our toes and actually can help any man hoping to walk over and Pick Up A girl, get her number or even register yourself with her for later in the evening if the situation arises. etc..
AA in my opinion, (shoot me down guys, by all means) exists to weed out a literal stampede of guys running in the one direction to the desired HB.

If a man sucks it up and walks, simply walks to the Girl and opens with a simple "Hi, How are you?" It's Utterence number 2 that is the kicker to continuing.

The 3 second rule certainly does apply.
However, a smile, a long lingering smile, can elongate that three seconds to gain yourself that little bit of "dutch" needed to WALK THE LINE.

You do have a point, in that the AA does help to weed out the wannabe PUA's that aren't gonna commit.

However, on the initial utterance you speak of, that in itself would usually kill the set.

At least here in America, lol.

Hi, i want in as well. AA is my worst problem. Once im in sets though, i can be comfortable and quite talkative. This workshop would probably help me a lot, can i get a PM also?

im with justincredible on that if im in a talkative mood its easy to approach but other than that i cant approach what advice does anyone have for getting over that
