A little info about me: I'm 18 years old and learned about pick up a few a months ago. For a couple of months I've only been reading and watching videos on pick up theory but never applied it my self. Just recently I decided to go out for the first time and thought keeping a journal might be a good idea to later look back on and see how much I've improved. I'm also staying in Guayaquil, Ecuador where I don't know any of the people except my family, however I do speak the foreign language. So with out further or do, here is my first lay report.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 (First day)
- Okay this wasn't actually my first time out. I attempted to do some pick up a week before but chickened out. That night, however, I asked my cab driver if he could just drive me around and show me good places to go out. I figured since he drives drunk party goers around all night all week he must know some good places. He also pointed out the ones where a lot people have gotten robbed and even kidnapped. That's actually kinda of a common thing in this city. So anyways, last night i wen't out with my friend to the mall. We started out by just doing question openers to people. I asked most of them where I could find some good shoes. I figured an odd question like that may help me get out of my bubble. My friend wasn't approaching as much and that sorta brought me down. i kept pushing him to approach but it took forever for him to do it. We went into a bookstore where there was a surprising good amount of good looking girls just hanging out looking at books. 1 minute in there and I approached a tourist from France. She looked like she was in her pjs and somehow that made it easier for me to open. I was actually feeling some momentum from all the question openers and decided to try something else. I heard her and her friend speak english so i asked her if she was american or english.

Me - are you american?
Her - No I'm french
Me - oh what brings you down here?
Her - I'm just traveling around
Me - what places have you been to?
Her - oh this and that blah blah

We actually got into a few pretty interesting conversations about things that i enjoyed talking about. i guess that made things a little easier for me and her as well. She did a lot of the talking and i just kept smiling and making strong eye contact. i made a few teases here and there, made opinions on her looks and personality, and tried to talk about things i could relate to. At the end i got her number and later texted back and forth to figure out where we should again that night. Oh and I was a little nervous throughout the interaction at the mall so when i went to put her number on my phone i noticed my hand was shaking lol. But that night I ended up not going out cause i felt way too tired. that was my last approach of the night and just went straight home after that. i woke up this morning a little disappointed in my self for not going but i'm just glad i made an approach and managed to make a good interaction out of it.

Well, please feel free to give me some advice and tell me what i should work on. I'm gonna start going for day game cause the bars here are a bit sketchy. any advice on places i should go? parks vs clubs? day game vs night game? the mall that night by the way was PACKED with people and a lot of them were some pretty hot girls. If you're ever out in this city, the mall that i went too is called San Marino.

Hey man, I am excited to hear about your journey and will keep up with it if you keep writing. I too do day game in a foreign country. I'm interested to see how the game scene is in Ecuador. Man, you need to work on your nervous issue. It will go away with more and more approaches. Sorry about your sucky wing. An unenthusiastic wing really CAN bring you and your game down. thanks man. i posted a copy of this on the field report section. and yeah i actually kinda laughed a bit when i saw my hand shake. i was kinda into this chick so i didn't realize i was that nervous. i also wanted to do some more approaches but my wing just wanted to leave. too bad but i guess next time ill just go alone or with someone who is more motivated to pick up, if i can find one.

Now... about meeting women... I tend to meet women in my daily life so... in Peru this is what works for me:


-Public transportation (ie. buses)
-Benches in parks (sit next to cute girl)
-Middle of the street (sidewalk cold approach)
-Lunch table (ask to sit with her)


This is where I meet most women.


Also... let me know if you have any questions regarding the women, because I do expect Ecuador women to be very similar to Peruvian women.
