Hey guys,

I've just started practicing again after about a year of laziness and sidetracks. Last night I went out with the goal of doing direct game, something I have never been able to do. The video I watched right before I left inspired me:

I have been fretting over the possibility of being "found out" while practicing pickup for so long that Sasha's honest and direct approach was really refreshing to see, not to mention hilarious.

But I ran into a problem, because once I arrived on the scene, I couldn't find any solo girls to open. I had been psyching myself on the way downtown, ready to go direct on the first cute girl I saw, but all of the cute girls were in sets of at least two, and often times with guys as well. I always automatically assumed that the guys were their boyfriends (even when there were more girls than guys in the set), and I didn't have the nerve to try and hit on a dude's girlfriend in front of him.

So my question is, how do you open mixed sets, or large sets of women? Is going direct even an option in that scenario?
