OK so basicaly me and my wing, we swiched cities today and we went out of our home town at the mall of neighbourhood town to do daygame.

I dunno why, but for some reason, when I get into this city, I feel like I'm letting myself being an asshole, and that's good cause I'm self-amusing and plus I do all kinds of approaches, that I haven't tried out in hometown. Altough it is true, that as far as girls goes there is A LOT more traffic here not just local, but international

Anyway... I opened like 20 sets today and the most important thing was that I did taht with hole bunch of different methods (MM, Sinn, Sasha...) so I saw the benefits and disadvantages.

I was doing mostly direct approaches.

FIRST VERSION, I mixed them with indirect which looked something like: "Hey do you know where H&M is... you know what I can't lie to you, I just thought you where cute, so I came here to say Hi, I'm..." bam BLOWOUT.
Sometimes I got the smile and I re-opened, but I got another blowout.

SECOND VERSION total direct: "Hey I thought you where cute, so I came here to say Hi, I'm..." BLOWOUT again.

THIRD VERSION opinion opener mixed with direct opener: "Hey I'm shoping gift for my cousin, which... should I buy." I used just that one, if I would have my transition little more smooth I would have gotten there. Mixed with direct, I just aded the direct punchline at the end guess what BLOOOOOOOOWOUT No worries.

FOURTH VERSION total indirect: "Hey do you know where... is?" didn't have a good transition so yeah...ahem... BLOWOUT.

FIFTH VERSION comedian style mixed with direct opener (look at Sasha's style for more description): I jumped in front of the girls "Don't worry I'm not a thief, I won't steal your shit, cause I don't steal, I don't drink and I don't do drugs... too often " They laughed big time WOW that shit smacked, sometimes still talking some more funny stuff, very animated. I add in direct punchline bam BLOWOUT.


You see where I'm aiming? I think that direct openers are a great tool, to quickly select the girls you like and weed out everyone that aren't down for it. But in almost every of the 20 sets I made today I got blown out after my direct sentence.

2 possible reasons:
1) My delivery was bad
2) Girls in our country are really bitchy, a lot more than in UK or US, cause the same lifestyle that you guys have up there hasn't reached us yet.

So as a result amm... a lot of openings, no closing, I'm not disapointed, I mean I have learned something today, which methods are good/bad for daygame at our place. But I still need to perfect it.

Hey dude,

first of all Kudos for getting out there and giving these approaches a whirl.

To move on, I think that you should have been able to make ANY of those approaches work during the daytime. You shouldn't forget that most of the time, it's not what you say but how you say it.

Direct openers are pretty much MADE for daytime, and most guys I know who are daytime pros (including my own daytime coaches) use a lot of direct openers in their arsenal.

One thing I will say about being direct however, is that it really helps if your compliments are:

a) Genuine (you have to MEAN it)
b) Unique (don't just call her cute, or hot)

You should be able to make pretty much any opener work, and the fact that you tried a range of openers is testament to the fact that there is something fundamentally flawed in your opening. My bet is on your body language and facial expressions.

You should be smiling when you open a set because smiling is disarming, you should also have good eye contact otherwise you're going to come across as creepy.

Also, especially during the day, it's better to look slightly nervous than to look like you're trying too hard to fake confidence. Women forgive a bit of nervousness during the day, that's part of the beauty of day game.
