Hey guys,

Beginner here. Used to have decent natural game, but confidence has dropped massively in the past couple of years.

First time I went out deciding to "sarge." Decided I could wipe away excuses and just try to open a few sets to practice.

Problem 1: Major AA

I tried to overcome this by walking to the mall (I live downtown) and just saying hello to 10 strangers in the mall, on the way, or anywhere I came across this. I eventually said a "hey" or "how's it going" to at least 10 people/groups. I got 0 response from most of them.

I ended up feeling really discouraged and just came back home. Opening groups intimidates me and it's also hard knowing where I once was compared to where I am now. I'm just trying to get my old confidence back!

For AA I usually have a drink or smoke. I also find that going out with a bunch of friends who have high energy and are social. Another thing I like to do is put on some music that gets me pumped before sarging, or watching a movie with a "player" or "ladies man" and I try to incorporate his persona into mine.
On a side note. Try to watch what gay guys do when talking to women. I do not mean act gay or say that you are, I am just saying try to talk like they do and copy their body language. Best of luck to you mate Cheers!

Regrouped, went out with a friend and ended up closing three numbers. Unfortunately it was under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol! Wish I could do this without the help of "liquid courage." it helps that I gained social proof quickly at a bar I know and ended up hanging out with a set I opened for the night.

My first time sarging solo at the mall, I hit AA hard, I sat down on the bench, gave myself pep-talk for like 15 min before I worked up the courage to stop a HB9 and asked for direction. It got easier after the first couple sets.

Stop. If your researching anything right now about pick up just stop. You need to work on your inner game. If your reading stuff about kino escalating or f closing, stop. Look up stuff about inproving your inner game and improving your confidence. Thats the key to approaching and getting rid of AA

What kind've stuff you recommend. It'd actually be perfect for me because past the beginning stages I don't really need routines.
