im lost when it comes to being social period.

Starting off this post im looking for things im doing bad, or im not getting something.
i went to a concert tonight with my good friends. a few metal bands played. and we had a good time. the concert attracted scene/emo hardcore style kids. realllly
hot women, with thin tight pants wearing dudes.

before the show started i walk in the back and saw a cute 2-set sitting on stools. and i asked if the stool in front of them was takin and they said no, when i sat down, i then asked what band was playing next. i didnt give good enough eye contact, or showed any type of interest. and she told me with a weird tone in her voice. i just sat there and texted on my phone, didnt really feel awkward just kinda disengaged after that. im like whatever and went raged in the mostpit. they probley just wanted to be left alone anyway.

saw some more cute girls around but i never seen any IoI's.
maybe i was out of place there idk. but what would you guys do in a place like that?
felt like everyone around me was all in there own little groups(like highschool only worse). heaven help the guy who walks around trying to introduce themselfs and make friends. just a bunch of cold shoulders, and mean mugs.

if you were in my place. what would you do? how would you enter, things you would say to meet people?
