| For those of you who don't know which two classmates i'm talking about, please refer back to my previous post titled, "Reluctant to Engage Two Classmates at College." If you don't feel like doing that much reading today, this is my situation in a nutshell:
There are two girls that I go to college with that I have been wanting to game. I have them in two separate classes. In these classes, I have been experimenting with alpha male behavior to see what kind of impact it has on how people respond to me. Typical things like ensuring my voice is audible and confident, that my body language is always relaxed, and that I am friendly and conversational with everyone. The results have been amazing. I have had classes in the past where I mostly kept my mouth shut the entire semester and the way people react to me now is completely different. Unfortunately, i've still been avoiding talking to my targets because of how nervous I feel around them.
Well, today, in both classes, everyone had to divide up into groups for a project and ironically enough, my targets ended up in mine. This was a major encouragement for me to talk to them.
In my first aid class, we had to practice rescue breathing on dummies, however we had to take the dummies apart and clean them first. I started cleaning ours and volunteered my target to help. She agreed and this is how my interaction with her went during the class:
My target begins to take apart our dummy. She pulls off the jaw and looks at it with a puzzled expression on her face.
Her: Is this how it goes?
Me: I think you broke it.
Her: I did not! She said to do it like this.
Me: I'm just kidding. I think you did it right.
I then bump her with my shoulder playfully. She smiles.
Her: Yeah, because I was sure this was the way she said to do it. I'm just so tired right now...
Me: Why? Were you up partying late last night?
She laughs.
Her: No, I didn't get off work until 1 AM.
Me: Where do you work?
She tells me she works at some restaurant.
Me: Really?
Her: Yeah, i'm trying to become a bartender.
Me: You must be a big people person if you want to do that.
Her: I am a people person.
Me: Well, what are you in school for?
Her: I want to get a degree in marketing.
The conversation then trails off. Too many distractions to take it further.
After cleaning our dummies, the teacher leaves the classroom, but asks us to begin taking turns practicing rescue breathing while she is away. While I am trying, I look across the room in the middle of the procedure and notice two girls across the room staring at me, smiling and whispering amongst themselves. I get the impression they are discussing me.
After I get done, I look at my target and tell her that it's her turn. She agrees and sits down on the floor beside the dummy. She then lethargically leans up against the wall.
Her: I think i'm going to just take a nap.
Me: No way! I did it, so you gotta' do it too.
Her: But everyone is looking at me.
I then look around the room and notice that everyone who isn't practicing is observing those who are. I address the classroom:
Me: Hey, everyone! She's going to do it now!
I then point at my target on the floor. She sits there, smiling and embarrassed.
Fast forward to after class. I am walking next to her in the hallway. I try to engage her in conversation again:
Me: So, you want to be a bartender, huh?
Her: I told you I wanted to get a degree in marketing!
Me: Yeah, but you also said you wanted to be a bartender.
Her: Well, I don't want to be bartender for the rest of my life.
Me: Yeah, it's unfortunate it's such an unstable job.
She then mutters something about wanting to make a lot of money.
Me: Oh, so you want to get rich?!
(At this point, I wish I would've said, "I need a rich girlfriend who can take care of me. We're together now. But wait, can you cook? No? Nevermind, we're broken up!" Unfortunately, I was too nervous to do it.)
Anyway, after the rich comment, she turns to me and smiles, but with the most peculiar look on her face that I was unable to read.
Me: What?
Her: Well, I pay for my own apartment...
At this point she keeps walking in a direction opposite of where I need to go, so I stop. I stand there hoping she'll stop to continue the conversation, but unfortunately, she doesn't. Unusually enough, however, she continues maintaining eye contact and explaining herself as she walks away. I remain at my position and eventually, it gets to the point to where I can barely hear her because of the distance, so I just cut her off and tell her i'll see her in class next time.
That's the first situation i'd like critiqued.
Now, onto my encounter with my second target.
This girl is in my speech class. Although we divided into groups for a project in this class as well, no noteworth conversation between her and I took place. She was very quiet, despite the fact that everyone else in our group was mingling. We did make eye contact at one point, however, and she held it.
After class is when something odd happened. She came walking up from behind me in the hall and initiated me!
Her: I am so mad at my grade on my speech!
(We recieved our grades for our speeches that we gave last week today.)
Her: What did you get?
Me: An 87. What did you get?
Her: A 76! I am so mad!
She then goes on a tangent about how she feels her speech was better than many other people's in our class and that she deserved a much better grade. Her speech was actually really good, so I support her viewpoint.
Me: That is a surprise. I really enjoyed your speech. Your emphasis on family values really touched my heart.
(I said this in a joking way to try and make her laugh.)
She smiles.
Her: It's bullshit. I think i'm going to talk to the teacher.
Me: You should. Give her hell.
She smiles again.
At this point, like I experienced with the last target, I stop walking in the middle of our conversation. This time, however, I didn't have somewhere else to be. I just didn't want to appear as though I was following her around like a puppy begging for table scraps. Again, I opt to cut the conversation off and tell her i'll see her in class next time.
She chuckles and says, "OK!"
She seems like she could potentially be a bitch, but for the sake of improving my game, i'm going to proceed with trying to game her.
I would appreciate any input and suggestions on what to do next in either one of the situations. Thanks in advance.
