So a group of us went to a club on Thursday night for a standard uni night out. I'v recently cut down the amount I drink on a night out to only a few beers (realised my game is way better when sober).

I was talking to one friend about pick up as a whole, we decided open a few sets using opinion openers.

We would basically be walking passed the set we wanted to open, and I would say 'how can you think that?' (or something similar), to which he would start to reply, then I would turn to the set and say "we need a female perspective, is it weird for a girl to kiss another girl while in a relationship?" Or something to that effect.

We did this to about 5 sets, generally having a decent conversation, kino escalation etc. I got a solid number (she literally grabbed my pocket that had my phone in and made me put her number in), my friend had similar levels of success.

It got to about 1am, we saw a 4-set sat round a table, so we opened them like we had all the rest. There was an 8, 7, 7 and a 5 in the group. After the initial "its not cool, etc, blah blah" from the girls, I ended up with the attention of the 8 and 7, my friend the other 7 and 5.

I asked the two girl's names and as I did so thought "which is my target?" Clearly the 8. So when they told me their names, I turned to the 8 (called Emma) and said "my ex was called Emma, I'm afraid I can only talk to your friend now." I turned to the 7 and asked about her uni course. (I thought up this routine the other day, it worked well then so tried it again). Immediately the 8 kino'd, so I said "is your friend always this grabby?" to the 7.

After that I let the 8 back into the conversation. We talked about uni etc, I threw in a bit of kino. I then did (possibly Style's?) best friend routine:

"Are you two best friends?"
"Haha yeah we are"
"I knew it! You make the same facial expressions and react exactly the same to what I say!"
They then looked at eachother and laughed, so I said "there, see, you did it again!" Much laughter from 7 and 8.

8 was wearing a schoolgirl type outfit (that was the theme of the night), she had a white shirt with a very small pair of hotpants on. I called her on the hotpants:

"You look very slutty in those hotpants!"
"Shut up, loads of girls look like this haha"
"Ok, take me round this club and find a girl that is wearing shorter hotpants!" - isolation.

I took her hand and walked around the corner. I stood against a wall and pulled her in. I whispered "what's the first thing you would say after I kissed you?" [again possibly Style?] She said she didn't know, so I kissed her and she said "I think the first thing I would say would be 'do you want to stay at mine tonight?'" LOL I didn't expect it to be that easy!

Long story short, we left soon after, got back to hers and I F-closed.

This is the first time I'v slept with a girl relying entirely on pick up routines/gambits/whatever you want to call them. I'v used a few techniques in the past, but not anything special.

I think I may use pick up more often!

NICE POST! I like it. I'm new to this, what does uni mean? I'm in the US and I'm thinking its a Euro term for university? I could be way off.

That was some pretty solid game. I like the "that's my ex's name" routine followed with a neg. I've recently just started using negs and girls that have thrown me in the "friends" category are starting to hit on me. I'm amazed how powerful they are. Also, "show me a girl in here wearing that!" was a good touch. That was very situational and you should definitely pat yourself on the back.

"What would you say after I kissed you?" You said that was from Neil? I've never heard of that (keep in mind I am still new). So my question is; what kind of IOIs were you getting before you used that line? Big IOI leading you to find someone else wearing slutty shit, I know. Was it the kiss in 30 minutes or did you leave with her in 30 minutes? If you didn't leave with her in 30 mins then what did you do to keep her in state? (i.e. how did the rest of the night lead you to her place?)

Engineer - Haha yeah uni=university. I'm also fairly new to this. I broke up with my girlfriend about 6 months ago, which is about when I discovered the seduction community. Since then I'v been hooked, but it's only in the last few weeks that I'v properly started using material on girls.

After I used the 'ex's name' routine and turned away, I got the first IOI which was the kino from her trying to get back in the conversation. Second IOI was her generally asking questions about me (once I'd let her back in the conversation), e.g. so what are you doing at uni [haha apologies, university]? Any question a girl asks that starts with 'so...' is a massive IOI (it's her trying to keep the conversation flowing). The third IOI was when I called her on the slutty skirt, she responded positively. If she wasn't interested she would have just called me a dick for insulting her.

Mystery always said that once a girl gives three IOIs its time to go for a k-close. So that's when I lead her away.

The kiss took maybe 20 mins (I can't remember the exact timeline...she kept buying me vodka Red Bulls haha - another IOI I'v just thought of). After that it was ~10 mins of fluff then we left. I got a lot of IOIs after the kiss but I didn't really get excited by them because I knew by then it was on.

new2game - I don't particularly like opinion openers but I think they are a lesser of two evils. They are just a means to an end; once the conversation is started, I move away from the opener so quickly it doesn't matter what it was. None of the sets I opened went back to the initial question once I'd moved on, so obviously it wasn't an issue for them.

Uni, gotcha! We just call it school. "what are you in school for?" = what major are you studying. That kind of stuff.

I'm in the same boat. My LTR ended in November and I just started using material for the first time on New Year's Eve. I was at my cousin's wedding and I kiss-closed a HB8. Got her into my hotel room and she ASD'd (or LMR, whatever) saying she needed to check on her sister. I was pissed but that was enough to get me hooked!

I'm learning to be more aggressive when I get the IOI's. I just get worried I'm going to look like an idiot and my confidence will be shot the rest of the night. It's good to hear this can happen! Very helpful post.
