I'm the only single one out of all my friends and tend to be a third/fifth/or whatever number wheel when we all go out, and last night was no different, I was the third wheel when we went out to eat. Being the third wheel with my friends doesn't bother me anymore because we're a close group of friends and there is no awkwardness when I'm there by myself.

So we're sitting at the table and the waitress comes over, an HB8, and right off the bat was incredibly social and kept giving my IOIs.(Big smile and laughter when I said some stupid joke, playful hitting, leaning in to me when talking but not my friends) I didn't let this get to me because she lives off tips so she could be doing this for a bigger tip.

The restaurant was packed and she was really busy, yet she kept on making it a point to come back to our table to talk, and we would keep flirting. After she walked away my friends girlfriend said to me that it was clear the waitress wanted me, again I kind of just brushed it off and played it cool all night. At one point before we got our food the waitress came by again as my friends girlfriend was about to go to the bathroom and my friend said he was going to go too. Well the waitress rubs my shoulder and says 'I can't leave you by yourself' and sat down next to me and we had small talk and compared tattoos and shit. My friends purposely got up to go to the bathroom to see what would happen and then observed me from around the corner because they were having as much fun as I was with this girl.

My friends now came back after a few minutes and then our food came and the waitress kept on coming back to talk to us and then said we should really stay and hang out at the bar for a while, which we decided to do.

The waitress kept on coming back to see us and talk to us which she wasn't supposed to be in that area unless she was getting drinks. As we were getting ready to leave she saw us and ran over gave me a big hug and gave me her number.

All in all last night was a great night, and I wasn't even going out with the intentions of gaming, just enjoying a night with my friends. I'm already a confident person but after last night and not even trying and getting a number and still getting one I feel like I could conquer the world.
