hey guys i am a freshman in college and have been tryin to get with this one girl for a couple weeks now. i first met her at a bar. i was at the bar ordering a drink and she came tapped me and said "oh nevermind." (she thought i was her friend at the time who was wearing a similar shirt) i sat down with some friends of mine and saw her again. we had eye contact and she says to me "i keep thinking your my boyfriend you look exactly like him" i said "oh yeah your boyfriend huh" and she replied "well actually hes not really my boyfriend." he was standing close to us and she introduced me to him. later on in the night she came up and asked me if i had a cigarette. i pulled one out and said she could cut it with me. we were smoking it when she said hold on ill be right back with my cigarrette in her hand. she walked away and never came back. i continued to drink and socialize with friends when i saw her walking towards us. we had eye contact again and she turned right around.
this was the end of that night. the next week i went out with a friend of mine who knew her. we took the bus downtown and when we got off the bus i saw her. i was feelin pretty drunk at the time and went up to her and said "i remember you, you were the girl who stole my cigarrette in the bar last week and never came back." she said "whatt i dont remember that, i was so shitfaced last week." i continued to try to display some value by being uninterested saying "yeah yeah whatever" we walked for a little bit and one of her friends said something to me which i thought was her being rude. i said to the girl i was trying to get with, "i dont think your friend likes me" and she replied and said to her friend "why dont you like him i think hes funny!" turned out her friend didnt say anything bad to me and i just misunderstood it. anyway we continued walking for a bit and i made conversation with her. she was laughing with me for a little while but did not show too much interest. we got to the club and she said "i cant believe i was rude to you last week" dont remember too much of what i said but that was about it.
two days after this i saw her at a house party. she came up to me and gave me a hug. after that i dont think we talked much or at all. my question to you guys is what should i say to this girl. we make small conversation when i see her but i never know how to take the next step and sit down with her and hopefully number close. i am also confused as to why she showed interest at first at the bar and than later in the night ignored me and ran off? you guys could help me with midgame and keeping a conversation going and how to isolate her i would appreciate it.
