Well it was a long night as we were celebrating my mates birthday (who’s a DJ at a couple of clubs in Melbourne)

It was my mission to open as many sets as possible and hopefully reach the hook point.

Saturday 6pm @ Hotel Room
Met up with my mates and a couple of their girl friends... all of which are clear 7’s and 8’s. Had a few celebratory ales and I get ‘comfortable’ with the girls then head to the first club...

We arrived about 8pm and had the top room all to ourselves pretty much. I get a drink and dance/show off some of the girls we were with. Spinning and dipping and smiling and just being ‘The Party’. I buy a round of drinks for my buddies then head over to a two set (HB8‘s) sitting down in the corner.

I open with something like this:

Astonish: Hey, I know it might seem like a strange question to ask at a club but it’ll only take a minute I promise - Whats a great 20th Birthday present?

HB #1: Hmmm I don’t know...

Astonish: It’s for my cousin and I want to be the ‘Cool Cousin’ - you know that one present that even though its not the most expensive - its just thoughtful and memorable.

HB’s: List of some things... Makeup.. Clothes...

Astonish: Actually I got my sister to espionage style into her room and find out her size... would you want something a size to small or big?

HB #2: Small. (Lists reason why)

Astonish: Ok cool... well her birthday isn’t until next month I just want to be prepared. Hey cool ring... (go into ring routine)... I can't remember if I negged them or not.

Once I DHV I exit to meet some mates who have just rocked up... I tell them we’ll catchup later...


***Later***

I’m on the dancefloor and I spin two girls, one on each hand - but I build it up like I just thought of it - when i pull it off everyone cheers and I take a bow. Spin around and there are the two girls are... We dance and take some wacky photos together - each time making then more and more silly (pulling faces etc - even grabbing each others boobs). I have to leave around this time and one of the girls writes her Facebook address in my phone and tells me to come find her.

As I didn’t ask or really spend anymore then 20 minutes total with these girls I’m pretty happy.


There were a heap of other sets but I think that one was the most memorable... No set I tried to open failed so my confidence was high.

My buddies commented that every time they turned around i was talking to another bunch of girls. Social proof was high.


What worked: Social Proof, Openers and delivery must have been on song

What didn't: Didn't move forward and get them chasing me, no push pull, should have time bridged at some stage.

Hopefully I can get a day 2 out of all this. I’ll keep you posted.

yeah I got a couple but they aren't really anything to chase up - I'm going to flake .

I attempted to chat to my target last night but nothing as yet. I'll give it a day or two then move on.

Heading out tonight and I'll see where that takes me

But as always, some valuable lessons were learnt. Spend more time with them, time bridge... lets try that again tonight!

I like it ! Funny I got a 20th birthday going to Liverpool for a big night out! if my night ends up like this I'll be a happy man. Any tips you could give me for opening and not been to needy tonight ?
