Ok I have been into pua for quite a while but really haven't thought about it in a while. Basically learned a lot but never used it in field where it counts. I found out last week that my buddy does it too and he gets girls. So we decided that we are going to go to the mall every weekend for a while and just approach girls. I'm in real need of some positive female relationships if you know what I mean.

Anyway so we went into a clothing store and he pointed out two HB 8.5 or so looking at clothes. I was so scared but finally decided to do it. I grabbed a pair of pants and walked over to them:

"Hey yall look like you have a good sense of style, let me get your opinion on these pants. Would they look good on me?"

They both turned around and looked me over

"Yeah! I think it would look really good on you." The better looking one said.

Then I said "yeah, but I don't know if it's really my style."

She asked "Well, what's your style then?"

Like an idiot I said "I don't know."

It didn't seem to phase her, they were both smiling and the better looking one showed me the tag that was labeled 'Photographer.' She said, "Are you a photographer?" She did it in a cute way, and I didn't realize until I left the set and my buddy pointed out that she was obviously flirting with me.

I said, "no" and then I just thanked them and walked away. I feel that having known what to say I could have gotten her number. Any ideas of what I could have transitioned into? Any critiques? And do you have any ideas for better openers?

Tips:

1. Don't be AFC
2. Dont try for numbers. Its not a Cloze.
3. Only go for the FCloze, only Cloze there is

Everyones gotta start somewhere man. So the fact that you were even able to open and get a positive response from a good looking girl should only encourage you.

Your opener was fine. Situational openers work the best. Plus the fact that you were asking their opinion on jeans you were considering buying (even if you really werent) shows that your at the mall for a reason, and not just there to hit on girls. You said "They both turned around and looked me over " after your opener. Although you got a positive response I would suggest not opening from behind. Open from a side angle next time so they cant just lock you out and ignore you if your opener doesnt go over well.

Your friend was right when he said she was trying to flirt with you. My advice would just be to make something up on the spot. Be random, be playful, be the fun guy. Or have some canned natural lines or threads that you'll use consistently in sets.

Other then that, just keep approaching and you'll notice patterns and run into similar situations that you'll be able to respond to automatically with something clever.

Yea I have this same problem, thats why I dont approach girls under these circumstances cause I wouldnt know how to carry on the conversation and would end up walking away embarrassed.

But you def had a successful attempt in that you can learn from this. Good job man

When she asked wether your'e a photographer i would have done something like this " In fact i am, let me take couple shots of you guys (i pull out my mobile and start making photos) pose a little here and there, give me some smile" i continue for a little bit and the i say "first set of photos are free, just let me write down your numbers and i will let you know when it's ready"


Well you just have to improvise depending on the situation and feel relaxed as you were messing with your buddies. Cuz if you get nervuos, its allready over.

Thanks for your replies! I am going to memorize some routines. I feel that i could have used the best friends test on them. I need to become more spontaneous and get some higher energy going while in a set. I felt like the man though after this so it's all good lol.

Well done for approaching man, you did good in that sense, as already stated, situational/opinion openers often work in day game, because it's common talk anyway.

Next time just make sure your a bit more relaxed, I get the sense you were a bit nervy, understandable for someone new to all this. Go with whatever they say, or have a joke about it.
