This is my first field report since I have been introduced to the community. Score so far in a bit over a week:

one f-close
two times #-close
one big FAILED opportunity to #-close
plenty of set's I should have opened, because it was so obviously simple
and plenty of fun chats with HB's

I'll try and keep it short.

On Friday, just after reading The Game, I decided to give it a good go for real and put things in practice. After failing to talk to some of the HB's in the gym (yep, social fear) I was in the bus back home. This HB8 was asking the driver where to get off to catch the next bus. This being close to my place, I decided to get off there as well, after I got some IOI's from the girl.
When crossing the street, she actually RAN after me for a bit, so to walk close to me. I opened her easily with some public transport related stuff. We chatted a bit, I gave her some neg's, got some kino, but then I FAILED to #-close her when she had to go on the next bus... Felt pretty stupid after that.

For the weekend I decided to visit some book-shops and check out some galleries. I should have been opening more sets, but meeting this tourist girl who really got into me was fun. I just opened by asking if she liked the piece of art we were looking at. Being playful and fun really helped. Modern art galleries are good for opening set's I find. Just ask them about their opinion. Ask them which piece of art they would be in the gallery, stuff like that.
I won't go into detail what happened next. She left a couple of days later. leaving me exhausted . All good and fun.

Couple of days later I was having dinner in town with a friend. The waitress was a HB8 who I #-closed. Tried to go for day2, but it seems like she is flaking. At the same place we opened a 6 set of hb8's. Good for the inner-game that evening.

Saturday a dinner party where I #-closed a HB-7. Day 2 is already sorted. I tried the ESP game, but after the second question she already saw trough it. Yes, I like smart girls, so I should come up with some smart tricks.

It seems that just applying some of the stuff on this forum already helped my game massively, and made me a more fun person in general. Thank you all for posting.

Hey gang,

After a couple of weeks of good improvements and closes, yesterday I had the feeling of being back at sq1.

Here is what happened.
I was day gaming on Sunday in the Saatchi gallery in London. Not a place with a LOT of HB's, but the quality is generally very high. I thought that I should up my game a bit and get out of my comfort zone and this place is good for that.

So not many HB's.., but there was a 3 set of 2 HB9's and a HB10. Target found, lock on, FIRE, hit..haha. At least that was the plan.

Most of the time I use situational openers, so that is what I did with one of the HB9's. Chatting a bit about the art for a few moments. Then she went on. They were racing through the museum.

In the next room even though I came in after them, I asked her 'Hey.. Are you following me? Wouldn't mind if you did..Haha'. Chatted a bit more, but then she stuck to her friends a bit more. I turned my back and left to the next room. Then BAM, she walked over to me and started asking some q's. I could tell she wasn't too comfortable with that, hehe.

So what went wrong you ask? Well, my bloody conversation skills were so AFC. Where are you from? What do you study? blah blah, instead of "no wait, let me guess" or "you look like you're Spanish". I could sense she was losing interest fast.

When I asked them for coffee, they declined and I didn't even #-close.. WTF?

So what caused this? I wasn't nervous. I think that my confidence grew too much, causing me to be too relaxed and regressing in AFC patterns. Silly.

Do you guys have tips to prevent this from happening? How do you make sure you are in the right zone?

Help to prevent this happening again would be much appreciated.
