Hey mates how are you all. So I'm new to the pua community and have so far only read the mystery method. I am looking to build natural game, but understand that this will only come with time, and with other books. This was the first time that I actually tried to use what I have learned as a technique.

So this afternoon I was visiting a university to attend a conference, and I ended up talking to this pretty girl (an 8 on the richter) and we were making lots of small talk, mostly about our studies and such. The problem I found was that the conversation, though not boring, was not as light-hearted as I wanted. And so I couldn't find the moment to throw a playful neg in there.

We spoke for about 15 minutes before listening to a conference that was going on. Then afterwards for another 5. But I couldn't come up with a way to change the topic of the conversation because she was talking about her thesis, though we were speaking very casually. The problem is that many pua guides are based on bars and clubs. This is daytime, school, books, a whole different SPAM.
I made sure I didn't show any IOIs until she did first, but then again, I didnt see any clear IOIs. Plus we didn't have the time to talk more cause the conference was going to continue, so we were cut short on both occasions.

I know there was a certain rapport (though I was not aiming for this), but she did mention her boyfriend when I said I was quitting smoking, saying that he quit from one day to another. Also as we were saying our goodbyes, she refered to me as darling twice. I didn't ask for a peck on the cheek or a phone number, I didn't feel like the conversation warranted a number close.

I know that a pua has the ability to get a number in a few short minutes, I'm obviously not there yet. I guess I have to write down some routines and know when to use which. Canned material, though artificial, is effective. I really want to get good at this so I'm gonna continue to document myself and practice as much as possible. I will continue to post my gaming experiences. I am sure that most of my gaming will happen during the daytime.

So the question is; What could I have done to attain a better result?
