FIELD REPORT

LOCATION: Weatherspoons, Guildford

The train’s full and everybody sways gently in the carriage as we ride towards London. The early sun’s rays hit the commuters’ bleary puffy faces through the windows and more than one looks like he’d happily kill himself to get the day off. Definitely hungover I think to myself watching one woman apply her make up as thickly as a circus clown but then they say that Thursday is the new friday.

It’s Friday morning and already I’m having trouble with the weekend. All plans are flakey and I need to solidify something for tonight or stay in and go hardcore tomorrow – hallow’s eve. I send the text:

“Right, guys. It’s crunch time. We need to sarge tonight. I have a free house so is anybody down with coming to Guildford and then you can crash at mine.”

Fast-forward and we’re walking into Guildford’s Weatherspoons by the train station. It’s 2130 and it’s not nearly as full as you’d think. Everybody’s saving themselves for a big Halloween I think as we separate ourselves into two There’s probably slim pickings here for the night. The night goes well and we're all in set at some point. Muddling through our sticking points and trying to synchronise our winging so we aren't battering into eachother in an effort to practice. At one such moment, i step away from the group to avoid contributing to a crowd of blokes standing around some girls. It's too much for them and it lowers our value so i walk off to the bar area.

I open a quite looking student. She’s hard work but I get her to introduce me to her friends and they introduce me to others. That’s when I bump into kino girl. She’s a dancer and when I start talking to her and her friend she and I start yelling and I grab her and hug her. We maintain the hug and loaded fluff talk happens into each other’s ears. She’s a dancer and I make her spin for me, tease her and then we start hugging again. I see her friends approach with a question on their faces (Who the fuck is this guy?!). “Don’t be rude!” I scold dancer girl “introduce me to your friends” She introduces me to Rose, her friend and I chat to her while keeping one arm around dancer girl. The girls start to whisper to each other so I chat to one of her guy pals. The friends start to move off and I pull the dancer girl in my arms when she doesn’t leave and we hug.

“We’re going upstairs,” She says to me “Wanna come?”
“I have to go back to the friends I’m taking out tonight,” I whisper into her ear “so you have two seconds left to kiss me”

We make out. All this took a little under 4 minutes to occur. When we break I tell her that I have to spend time with the boys and need to make sure they’re having a good night. We kiss again. “Come with us, we’re going to Harpers (a club)”

She’s a little pissed off that I’m not coming with her but I got a 4 min kiss close and I ride a high the rest of the night. We end up in Flares and all of us open every worthy set in the place. I’m so loose and having fun it’s no longer about winning. It’s just time to enjoy the ride…

Didn't occur to me at the time. Ur right, I should have number closed her and organised meeting again at the same time.

What you've done there is turn PU into a fun night out not a chour. It would have been easy to get her number but, as you said, you really enjoyed the night anyway so does it really matter? No, not imo. I've been out (as an AFC) not to pull, ended up kissing a few girls (most girls i went for were 4/5/6's) and felt happy with the night. I'd like to be at the level you are in a year or so, and as yor british aswell its good to hear succesful stories.
