Hello, I am new to the forum and semi new to pickup. I’ve done “so so” without it but am really making an effort to get better. Doing a lot more approaches etc.
Anyway, wanted to get thoughts on this chick I approached 2 days ago.
I was at Trader Joe’s and saw this hot blonde, awesome body. She walked by me and I could tell she noticed me checking her out. She walked by again and was gone. A min later I went searching for her. (never would’ve done that in the past).
Saw her in the checkout line and since I was done shopping I got behind her in line. Here’s how it went down.
Me: “Excuse me”
HB: turns around, “yes”
Me: “Hi” (in a flirty tone with a BIG grin)
HB: “Hi” (smiles)
Me: “I just saw you a min ago and knew I would kick myself if I didn’t come talk to you”
HB: “My name is Stacy” (reaches to shake hand, nice smile)
Me: I'm DZ…
From there we are walking in line exchange standard interview chat. She asks if I live nearby, how was your Labor Day weekend etc. We both start walking to separate checkout lines and I say “I’ll catch you after we pay.” I have about 10 items she has 2 and one was sushi. I finish paying and she is done but still near her line fumbling about. Looks like she is stalling waiting for me. So we continue chatting and walking and get to the escalator where I have to go. She asks “Are you going that way” (escalator). I say “yeah.” She is not so I go for the close and get her number. She says she is going out of town tomorrow but we can get together next week.
So that is it. It was quick, not super flirty, but I think it went well. I definitely go the more natural route in my approaches. When she gave her number I called her right there and her phone rang in the store. She put my name in her address book.
So I wanted to start some texting before next week or whenever. I found some goodies on this site and yesterday around 3 PM I texted. “Hey, I saw something today that reminded me of you.” I felt this was a good one since we didn’t build a ton of rapport.
She replies 2 hours later “trader joes? cash register? shopping cart?”
I wait about 2.5 hours and go back with “A woman eating Trader Joe’s sushi. You were much cuter"
That’s where it is. She has not replied. I’m not surprised with no response since I just wanted to make her smile and did not ask a question. I don't have a lot of call back material to work with. She had told me she was in California for Labor Day weekend when we were chatting. I’m wondering where to go next. Start something new? If so, any ideas on where to go?
