So I'm at the mall with a buddy on the weekend and we're just looking for shirts and stuff in a jean store when I spot a pretty cute sales girl working there. She's not stunning, I'd give her a 7.5, but definitely worth pursuing. I flirt with her a bit, she smiles and reciprocates. After a while we leave the store and I feel the pang of regret since I didn't get her number. I know it's going to bother me for the rest of the day so I decide to walk by the store again and see if she's around. We walk by again and she's standing by the entrance, so I motion for her to come over. We talk and flirt a bit for 5min, she says 'so i see you came back for me' and tells me I have nice eyes. Definitely good things, so I go for the number and she gives it willingly.

I wait a few days and give her a call getting voice mail. I give it another day and call again, she answers I ask for her by her first name and she says that's not her name and gives a fake name (I know it's a real number because when it went to voice mail she said her name in the recording). I confront her saying 'oh yea.. that's not what it says on your voice mail' and she comes up with some bullshit response. At this point I realize her level of immaturity and say 'Why even give out your number if you're just going to lie?' and she hangs up.

I should've just let it go but I text her a few min later telling her she needs to work on her attitude and she responds 'and ur ugly' lol. I mean the whole situation is laughable now but what do you guys make of this? Why give out the number? why flirt? Or is this just a case of extreme immaturity, she is 18 afterall.

Some women just give out their numbers and flirt with guys cause it gives them a certain thrill. No PUA can get them all. She seems very immature and definitely not worth any further consideration. Learn from it and move on.
