| A while back, me and a friend were rolling around town after we had just finished discussing potential fake business names for a project of ours. We stopped at this frozen yogurt place that a friend from our school opened. Usually this place is empty, not too much traffic, especially during 10, 11 at night, but today, lo and behold, 7 or 8 sets of gorgeous girls were sitting in their seats eating frozen yogurt and socializing. I was feeling my inner emotional penis wiggle and prod me to go "two set", "three set"!
We go inside, I know the owner, the cashier and the intern. I say hi to all of them and banter, instant social proof. I see a group of students for my school, so we sit down and test out our business names on them. The specific question I wanted to know was, "What images, thoughts does one think of when one reads this name?" Our goal was to find out what people's first impressions of a name. I find some friends from school, opened them up, tested their reactions to the names and then I opened up a set of about 8, 5 girls and 3 guys. It was a little bit nerve wracking. But I went from each person to each person asking for their reaction for one name after another, and it turns out one of girls recognized me from another presentation I did at their high school, some more social proofing. I successfully engage 7 of the 8 people except one guy who very much didn't want to talk to me. Later I found out from my wing, the 8th guy was ******* me heavily when I talked to the girl on the left of me. I am surmising he wanted her. My wing also told me he txted one of the girls that they should leave and so during my questioning, one of the girls got up and led the group out. Overall though, they left with a very good impression of me I could tell, except that one guy of course. After this huge set, I opened another set, it was a 2 set. My wing took the low energy Asian cunt punter friend while I talked to this Pakistani HB 6.5.
A for Attract:
ABS: I am doing a research project, and we want to see what images and reactions you guys have about business names we've made, could you guys help us out?
HB: (hesitantly) sure.
ABS: What images come to you when I say the word, *******
HB: 6.5:Asian, food, exotic
ABS: I run 2 more names on her and she's hooked
B for Buying Temperature:
ABS: I am doing this project to see what people's first impressions are based on the name of something alone, and we're from the UC and this is our project, so where are you from?
Found out she's local but goes to school in San Diego for the summer, told her DHV story about Merced being a rising and upcoming star, mainly starring me as lead.
C for comfort:
I lead her outside, get her number and have her call me, we talk about meeting up later and her showing me the youngish side of Merced. We're now moving on to day 2.
Sent her a txt, and we'll see where it goes from here.
What I did well:
Good progression through the ABCs of attraction. I experienced almost no blank spots or awkward moments of no conversation. It was smooth.
What I could've done better:
More direct, sexual topics, but since I barely had time to build any comfort and no place to isolate, it was hard to build enough attraction to extract that night.
Right now, I want to meet up with her for a day 2 and build some deeper comfort. So far, we've just been doing some playful texting but she doesn't text me back as quickly as I want her to and sometimes she just doesn't text back at all. What do you guys think? Ideas for future encounters? She goes to summer school which I am currently enrolled too.
