So last night i went with some friends to a club on the nearby town. We were a large group (around 20), and the club was pretty much empty when we got in, with a small groups scattered around.
I scanned the room and saw this group of 3 girls looking at me. I ignored them. Later i notice the same thing. Ignore. And i notice them looking at me/us a few times more.

About 20min later i grab a friend and walk towards them, ready to use the "are you shy" opener. I get to them, ask them how they are doing, if they are having fun, and then use the shyness opener (which doesn't work very well...). At this point i'm only talking to one of the girls, and she mentions that they go to that club often. I pick that up and keep the conversation going, ask her if they are from that area, if there are any other good clubs, etc. I don't see the conversation going anywhere, so i just excuse myself back to my friends.

(Much) later on, when i'm about to leave, i walk up to the girl i was talking to, and tell her goodbye, and that it was nice to meet her.

I'm actually pretty happy about myself with this. I managed to keep a conversation going ,and maybe could have kept it going longer, which is/was a big problem for me.

Any tips on what i could have done differently?
