This is my first field report since I've been introduced to pickup. Tonight did not result in any action. I have a lot to practice and learn.

This is probably my 20th attempt from learning pickup. I was lucky the first time and made out with a girl but nothing since then. I'm a 22 year old virgin but I'm 6'1" and have been working out for more than 3 years and have a lower bodyfat. Face wise I'm a solid 7/10. Appearance wise the only thing against me is looking Indian/Arab. I understand how to socialize and am pretty involved around campus. This is going to be my 5th year at the university studying computer science.

My field name is Ryan. I use mysteries method with a mix of Style. I use the survey opener and stack it with different things. Lately I have less success with palm reading so I do it less often.

I have no wing so I decided to go alone. I went a nightclub and was approached by a girl in the line. I asked her the survey opener that asks who lies more. It was generally successful but I had a little too much confidence from there and exited the set. I opened another set with a girl I know from my physics and calculus class. I eventually left because all we talked about was class. From there I went to the dance floor. I don't usually get intimacy or touch so it was nice. I was conflicted because I wanted to grab a girl but at the same time did not want to get a rape charge. I don't know if there is a happy medium between grabbing a girl or asking like an AFC to dance. Nevertheless, I did a little bit of both with no success but did achieve some level of intimacy however short lived. I didn't have any expectations and in general just wanted to dance. I approached about 3 sets with no success but I should have used a better way to approach them.

The most successful set of the night was at the nightclub where I approached a 2 set with the survey opener. I used the 3 Question Lie game and then told them that I read palms. I was doing well with the HB until the friend decided to go leave. In hindsight I may have been better off just following them.

After the place went a little dry I walked to another meeting location and opened up a walking set while on my way. It was the most successful set of the night and I got a number but didn't use any game. I was feeling a little discouraged and it showed through nervousness so it might just be out of pity.

I then went to a pub that had a free cover near there after midnight. I approached a set within 3 seconds using my usual stack but they seemed disinterested. I went to another set and there was a very nice HB she was receptive but married. I didn't have enough game to figure it out so I went to the dance floor. I approached about every set there with no real response. It was mostly eye contact, then I start to dance with her, and then she pulls away. Even the most undesirable ones did not receive me well. I think it was because I portrayed neediness. There were several sets that displayed proximity but they did not receive well. I got a little discouraged and went to the walls to have a drink. I went back and forth between the dance floor and balcony without any real luck. Finally It was closing time and I decided to leave.

In general I just need more practice. It's hard to stay motivated. Sometimes I stick to it because of the sheer amount of time and effort that I've put in. I think I need to work on my openers and learning new ones because my current stack has become tiring. I don't know whether I have ever reached the social hook point but I have massive insecurities and sometimes I doubt that anyone ever wants me around. I'm taking pickup seriously and know that if I put the effort into it I will be able to see results. I'm going to reread the Mystery Method and finish up NLP.

If anyone is in the UCF area hit me up! I need a wing.

To vent a little it just sucks that my chinese suitemate that does not know english is getting laid. I'm not the nice guy that gets friendzoned but its probably more because I'm very flaky when it comes to the second meetup location. I could say that I have a shitty personality but I have a large circle of friends. I assume it may be because of my looks but in general I think I'm at least above average. It would be easier to know that I don't do well with women because I'm ugly because then I would have a reason. Just not knowing is a little frustrating. Maybe its because of my race. It could be because of my confidence but I don't have any trouble starting the approach and display a certain degree of confidence.

All in all, I know its a learning process and I'm not going to give up. I got into pickup because I knew this gaping insecurity is setting me back in all other aspects of my life. Sometimes I feel that I have permanently become damaged through all the failures that I've been through. I analyze my failures in my social life internally but that analysis often times falls short of even a remedial explanation. I've encountered a rouge reason of prejudice and racism but that is a self defeating situation. I do not think my standards are high.

Anyways, I'm still an AFC that has been through so much that my face appears permanently sad and anxious. I want to graduate and move somewhere else in the hopes that it is just central florida. Before then I am going to continue my practice and hopefully eventually become a top PUA.

Good job going out and taking action. It will definitely begin to get easier the more often you go out. With the 2 set you had earlier, in order to prevent her from leaving, you need to entertain both of them for a little while until you get rapport with both of them or generate enough attraction with one girl where the friend will end up leaving you two along so you get isolation and your girl will want to stay with you. Mystery Method was a good introduction to game but it's a little outdated. I would stay away from using other people's routines and use your own material so it will become more congruent and effective.
