I have read, re-read, and re-re-read all sorts of NLP, Styles method, and the mystery method and got a decent amount of success but not what I was hoping for until I picked up some Paul Janka..
Paul had an interesting methodology in approaching and picking up women...
First being, you will get rejected on occasion, you won't always have sex, and women are simple..

After applying Paul's methods my numbers jumped up large and fast but worked in combination with mystery and styles methods I was able to close at a much easier and faster rate. Paul really made the distinction between picking up women at nightclubs and bars and also the age group. Me being a college student had little success implementing these routines at a nightclub around 19-23yr old sorority girls, I've found out that no amount of negs and DHV can take a girl like that out of her own air of superiority just because women are sooooo conditioned in that environment to getting hit on.. I changed my approach and implemented more day game and meeting women at other venues like bookstores and coffee shops and getting a second date for later that week or weekend.

College girls can either be SUPER easy or SUPER difficult and it's genuinely tested my abilities but changing my approach made things ridiculously easy.

Man I used to love daygaming in book stores, that was like my stomping ground. Plus I love books and found some magazines interesting, so even if there were no girls I could hang out and not be bored. Then Borders went out of business and there were none left in my city. Sucks. I'll give you a fun opener I came up with that worked well.
Find a girl looking at a book then say, "That's a good book. You know why?"
"why?"
"Because I wrote it."
"Oh really?"
"Heck yea!" Go up and look at the book then obviously look for the name of the author. "Yeah I'm (insert name)"
"haha no you're not"
"Damn you caught me"
then just follow that with whatever you want. Breaks the ice.

Side note: it's funnier if you read the name slowly and maybe mispronounce it. Even funnier if the author is a woman.

Buy some jelly worms and go into the book shop.

Find a relevant book and put a gummy worm in one of the pages.

Then approach girl and say "check it out, I just found a book worm "
