I'm against sarging while drinking heavily, and last night I broke the rule and choded badly. I went out w/ my buds after work with no intention of sarging. Just a guys' night out. Let this be a lesson for all of you who think you need to drink to approach.

I'm already kinda drunk when I get to this dive bar. It's pretty dead, and I see a mixed 5 set (3 guys 2 girls) with this HB9 Hispanic girl. For large groups, I always do Mystery Method. I open with the Sweater Opener and the group gives me their opinions. I deliberately ignore the HB9 and neg her when she tries to respond. I'm not sure what, but somehow it immediately attracted her because she says "let's go to the bar. It's quieter there." Hm... I never had a girl isolate ME. I wish I wasn't drunk at the time. I don't remember all the small things we talked about, but I've must've done something right that I could use in the future.

So we buy a drink each (split 50/50) and we click. When we rapport, I over-negged her and she gets kinda irritated. She wasn't pissed, but I definitely said something that turned her off. Out of nowhere she says she has a boyfriend, (which is most likely not true, and she probably said it as an exit plan), then goes back to her friends. I normally don't neg on rapport, but I was drunk and got my sequence mixed up and lost her. The whole interaction was probably 15 minutes.
