Met this girl at a party, got on great, got her number, we text lots and arranged to go our within a couple of days.

We’ve been on three dates with this girl, all seemed to be going great and moving in the right direction…We’d agreed to go out last Wednesday, but she was ill, fair enough. When she let me know, she was better, I asked when we are we going out again, got the response “don’t know” and “she’ll think on where we can go”, which to me was a polite no, as I did say “we can just go for a drink”, but seemed reluctant to say yes???

But she still texts, although not to the same degree as she did before, sometimes texts multiple times if I don’t reply within a reasonable amount of time though. I also, believe she got a little jealous about a remark I made in a text yesterday evening when I was out.

I’m no expert, yet, but to me it seems like she’s keeping hanging as if she is waiting to see what happens somewhere else?

I was just curious to see what you guys out there thought?

Don't you hate that? That happens to me all the time. I think that she's just keeping her options open. People like to have a lot of options, even if some of them are options they'd never choose. Texting you every now and then is like her saying, "Hey, I just want to make sure you're still interested in me". It makes her feel secure. She could have an entire army of guys she's not really interested in seeing one on one, but it makes her feel confident that she can text them. I guess it doesn't really COST you anything to keep talking to her. But I know it makes me feel used and I just want to say "if I'm not good enough to hang out with, stop texting me and getting my hopes up." That's my take on it.
